Hispeedidio via Aliexpress. Too soon to comment on battery life. I’ve not watched it but https://youtu.be/FlhB55MQ_70?si=yb6fTNmUr8R1HLRh should cover battery usage

What retro things have you done today?

So the other day I did an AMOLED Game Boy Color build and today I finished off the yellow IPS build; I'm not happy with the buttons (need to order some better ones) or the light bleed at the top of the shell. I need to work out how to mask that, or replace the shell.

    Game Boy Color AMOLED build

The reason for using the original buttons (d-pad in particular) was that the ones that come with the shell / screen from hispeedio aren't quite right. The D-Pad has a pivot on the back and it's too small on those, meaning the pad sits too low in the shell. I do have some from FunnyPlaying as...

    Game Boy Color AMOLED build

I've had the IPS screen to fit to a GBC for a while now, but never got round to it - then recently there was a new wave of AMOLED screens for them... so why not I didn't take many photos whilst doing this, only of testing the screen Then the completed Game Boy. New shell, screen, stickers...

Probably, but ask your builder who they like if they’re going to be fitting it!

    Kitchen options

I’m currently getting quotes from local, small kitchen places. I’m put off the likes of Howdens as I don’t have a kitchen fitter nor the desire find one and coordinate the other trades that will be needed. I’ll be paying more to have a single point of contact and that’s value for me

Configuring Hue Light and Extractor Fan

Not sure what the Tapo ones are, but if they're not Zigbee and can be connected to the Hue Hub, then nada - they won't work like that. Shows up like Looks like there's a new version of them https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZigBee-Socket-Automation-Philips-SmartThings/dp/B0CFVLK4FL and I'm...

Configuring Hue Light and Extractor Fan

I have smart bulbs in my bathroom that only come on at 5% if you go in there at night, motion triggered. It’s also meant I can put a remote switch low down so my kids can control the lights. Very handy imo

Configuring Hue Light and Extractor Fan

They’re just shown as a simple on/off light in the Hue app. I don’t like having core stuff setup outside of properly supported Hue.

Configuring Hue Light and Extractor Fan

that's not how we do things on here tho, instead of answering the question - you're meant to tell the OP why they're wrong Back on topic tho, I have some Innr plugs that would do that - I use them for Christmas lights, and they linked into the room groups so are triggered off the motion...

Carpet cleaner and spot washer, recommendations.

We have a bissel spot clean. Does the job for spills or cleaning the car. For cleaning large amounts of carpet, I just use a local company who do a better job than I would with a domestic upright (and they’re quicker than me)

    Why is this wall damp?

No, the cable is not related. It’s no where near any damp bits and the damp bits have been there long before the cable. It’s just that I can easily lift the floor there and see the construction of the wall as the external vent is there but also a gap in the inner course to allow the sub floor to...

    Why is this wall damp?

I can see the cavity is full of debris. I should have remembered this when doing the fibre as the loads of debris that's come down. Blue = outer course Red = inner course Orange = bricks the joists are sat on Can see the fibre goes up to the vent Then looking from there down to the...
