I'm on the same deal:
Called up sometime last year to cancel & move to BT fiber and retentions offered this £18.xx deal & am now paying the above after the price increase.
1 year contract with price locked for 2 years
Thanks for all the help guys.
The funny thing is sometimes the system will run for hours without any problems.
Will have to wait until Sunday to start testing each part separately.
This problem started with my system a couple of days ago where the system will just cut out. I then have to power it up a few times for it to boot into windows. A few of the times I have had to reset the BIOS.
No BSOD, just cuts out as if the power has been cut off.
System is currently not...
Your probably right
But the fact that it wont work is bugging me now.
I get the following message:
"Initialization failed. Maybe you don't install the driver correctly!"
Plus all the power phaze LEDs are constantly on, even when the card auto downclocks to 51MHz.
Just installed my 480 SOC
Temp @ idle: 46-48C dual display setup.
Installed 266.58 drivers
Installed OC GURU, rebooted.
OC GURU will not start up.
Not run any benches or games yet, want to get OC Guru working first.
Anybody know why oc guru will not start? Win7 64bit
Got my refund today:)
I have picked out the following 3 as possible replacements
Gigabyte GTX 580
EVGA GTX 580
Asus GTX 580 DirectCU II
Now I know that the Giga and EVGA cards are probably identical, but could someone comment with regards to reliability & ease of RMA etc.
Also...
After reading reviews the 570 is tempting, would also leave me £70 odd in pocket.
Then again a £20-30 inverstment gets me a 580.
been looking around the interweb for an EVGA SuperClocked GTX580, just can't seem to find one.
Quick update guys.
Just got off the phone to the retailer & it looks like they are going to give me a full refund:D
Now do I buy an EVGA 570 Superclocked (pocket the remainder of the cash), or add a little money and get a 580?
Well the my Zotac came with a 5yr warrany compared to Gigabytes 2yr, I bought the Zotac for its warranty & at the time the price reflected that.
I guess I would be happy with a:
570 with equal warranty
or
A better performing card with less waranty
