Shelster, I was also given the transaction codes for the two debits but Direct Line said that their system couldn't pick up those codes so they couldn't do anything. Nationwide also stated that they couldn't retrieve the funds until they are refused automatically by Direct Line and come back...

After phoning them, they can't retrieve the funds but if DL don't accept them I should have the money back in 7 days....

I just don't see what the problem is, if someone buys a new car it WILL depreciate i would've hoped the OP knew this and worked into his financial plans over the next 3 years....ie he has to afford it.

All you guys are either jealous he can lose 10k on depreciation or conversley you should be happy that he has supplied the 2nd hand car market with another car.

I've got the 2.0 TS2 Sedan... I previously owned a 1.6 focus (mk1.5) and I prefer being in the mazda to the ford, mainly because it doesn't rattle so much and has auto air conditioning. Pretty similar handling to the mk2 focus which i didn't like as much as the mk1.5... I've put 20k on it...

Haha^^^. I have had a cold the last week so when i have been drunk i have been like 5 times worse. Had a couple of stinkers recently too, going out in a bad mood is not good. Can't really drink more than 15 units on a night out ie may be 5 pints and some doubles.
