Have you checked the onboard nic isnt disabled in the bios? that could cause the issue if it is not appearing in device manager at all. what chipset is the onboard nic? broadcom, marvell, intel? it may be worth trying a driver direct from the nic manufacturer. Any PCI card should work fine...

You can uninstall the drivers but thats not gonna clean up the mess of chipset drivers and all other devices relating to the old motherboard, so your gonna end up with a bloated os thats chock ablock with stuff realting to your old hardware. Just do a fresh install will run much smoother.

Thanks, im lookign at getting the corsair hx 620 watt psu so i think ill risk it and in the extreme i may modify the devider so that the cables plug throught he devider.

I am considering buying a Lian-Li PC V1000 Plus My only concern though is the size of the power supply that will fit into the case with the partition that is built into the case and if a modular PSU will fit, can anyone please advise? Thanks Nathan
