Yep even the ground clearance has reduced quite a bit vs older models.
The Jimny still had a good AWD system and off-road focused features on the most recent one. But it probably won't pull 3.5t.
Big old Volvo or Toyota.
Not many modern cars are going to take that much of a beating and not break tbh. To fragile and lots to go wrong.
They have become less capable as the demand isn't there. Most of the current SUVs won't off road any better than a hatchback. Even things like the Rav 4...
I think someone would have to monitor this one tbh. ANPR wouldn't know if a car is going in or out. It's a pretty dumb system.
In London they have an army of people watching for things like people stopping 1mm over a box junction or touching a bus lane. Such a huge waste of resources.
Now they...
You do get them in rural villages as well. But people ignore them as there are no cameras.
This stuff plagues some cities though. The road network in them has clearly been rigged to generate revenue from fines for the local councils.
Google maps and Waze do. They know the correct entry points and will take you right to the doorstep, including walking up the garden path.
Apple maps is pretty flakey with this stuff. The built-in systems are never very accurate either. I especially wouldn't trust a Tesla to make the right...
34hp alone isn't going to be all that noticeable when it already has a few 100. It's the power curve which makes the difference, with a good tune get more across the rev range.
Your better off spending the money on other things to make the car feel better and handle better than just more power...
I'd be more worried about making it through Russia in one piece than breaking down. You might not be allowed out at the other side.
Trying to get from that side of the world to Europe as a westerner now is so dangerous. It's all basically dictatorships and warzones.
The variable speed limits and "smart" motorways have just made motorways feel less safe tbh. I feel like I'm seeing more accidents on them than stretches where it's not implemented.
People bunch up too close, to many distractions, watching their speedo instead of their surroundings.
