Update: Not found anybody on the web to have reported of this issue and after a lengthy back and forth with Samsung, they have issued me replacement for both monitors. I am really hoping that it was only this batch of monitors and not an inherent issue with the model itself.

Update: Incredible really, I unplugged the hdmi cable from the 4080 and plugged into the hdmi port of my motherboard to go in via the integrated graphics and low and behold monitor skipped the standby and straight into windows safe mode.. Is this how I am supposed to update the gpu drivers on...
