my current speed is at stock - 2.4ghz, i just read that it can go to around 3.2ghz with a decent cooler. what i dont know is how to set all the voltages.

can anyone help me in a little stuck with overclocking, im not sure what to set bios voltages at to achieve the highest overclock have gigabyte DS4, E6600, GEIL DDR2 800 and a zalman cooler. what should i set if i want to reach about 3.2ghz?: VCORE voltage? MCH voltage? FSB voltage?

thermaltake big typhoon... E6600 2.4 - 3.4... 40c load on games... get sum arctic silver... this is better than the scythe ninja etc and zalman.. i looked at benchmarks: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/co...-scythe_11.html

got it to 3.2ghz, seemed really easy, been playin games on it fine, no crashes.. *** should i use to test stability? using a thermaltake big typhoon with this. the temps seem too low for a big overclock, *** other programs should i use 2 monitor temps?

dumb [****] thing to do but i was changing the CPU fan from the power supply input to the motherboard input when the computer was running, ive done it for years and never had a problem....... this time i saw a small spark and the screen went dead. i cant even turn the pc on. has just the PSU...

just got these and set em up 2day. not sure about some of the BIOS settings. can any1 help? just the general voltage settings, pcie frequency. Also in CPUZ it says FSB:RAM 2:3. how do i get this to 1:1?? thx.

found a nice overclock test on a core 2 duo... it uses many coolers... the thermal take typhoon is the best. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/zalman-scythe_11.html

set pcie frequency 100-110 definately not auto lol. What resolution u using for 2142? if its anythin around 1600x1200 and over im not suprised u get only mid performance. those pictures u posted also shows that u got naf graphics card drivers or something or u overclocked it. good look...

does anyone know if the zalman 9700 will fit with the DS4?, There is quite big copper coolers fitted onto the DS4 near the CPU and these might get in the way. I just wondered if any1 had this setup.

thx man thats mint. Im also deciding between the 2gb giel low latency or corsair. the giel is cheaper but i heard some are havin issues with the cas etc. lol *** u think?

im hopefully getting that same motherboard mate. did ** core 2 work straight away with the DS4? or did u hav 2 put an old P4 in and update the bios first? thx.

Gettin a E6600 very soon, what cooler has every1 got on theirs? for the best OC. not sure if the zalman CNPS9700 is worth all the money??
