You would have to manually open and close the app, iOS doesn't do automation like Android. I personally use Red Clock as my nightstand clock.

I went back to 8.4 after 9b1 battery problems but 9b2 feels normal in regards to battery life, certainly a massive improvement on 9b1. Gonna stick with 9b2 and hope that the rest of the betas carry on along the same lines.

You do get a lot of the good stuff along the way but its not polished until GM which is no surprise considering its more or less the same as the public will get on final release.

I noticed the same thing but I had already created a library on the public beta. I've ended up deleting my whole library and started manually weeding my Aperture library. Gonna wait till everything is removed and disabled (30 days) and then start a fresh with a nice deduped Aperture library.

Have a look at a 3rd party app called Photosync. Used it for a few years and find it useful more often than not.
