    Drilling steel

It's all about pressure, you cannot apply enough pressure using a hand drill. You want to keep the temperature low (low speed if big drill bit) to avoid hardening the steel locally as this will make it really hard to drill through as it will be nearly as hard as your drill bit - and will ruin...

    Vietnam holiday

funguST, me and a couple of mates are also heading off to Vietnam in the next few weeks. We are flying to Ho Chi Minh and hoping to work our way up north and then possibly get a flight to Cambodia from Hanoi. Is this viable in 3 weeks? Also, what form of transportation would you recommend...

    3k MX-5. Advise me!

This is rubbish - I have driven both on road and back to back on track. The early 1.6's are 115bhp, there is NO noticable difference in acceleration between a 115bhp 1.6 and a 1.8 (130bhp) - this is from driving both and dragging them side by side. The 1.8 is better for trackdays, it has...

    Small MX-5 mods

Looks like you have got a nice stable idle now, I presume your throttle reading is MAP based? Are you using this for your acceleration enrichment? - Just that it looks quite noisy (unless thats your idle valve??)

Lads Night Out in London - where to go?

Hello all, In a month or two myself and a small group of guys (all in mid twenties) plan to do a London night out, we don't all get together very often and none of us know London very well - except an amazing kebab place off Oxford street :p So I'm looking for suggestions of specific...

Renting a car (UK + Belgium)

Hi all, hoping to go to the Belgium F1 Gp in a few weeks times but unable to take my own car due to the amount of passengers going. Has anyone had any experience of renting a car in the UK and driving to belgium (or any where in Europe) via a ferry. Is this even possible and could anyone...

    Mail account

Hi guys, I'm a complete novice with macs. Just set up a hotmail account on Mail and it has downloaded all attachments to my Hard drive, is there any way of stopping this? If I delete the account I presume all emails will still exist on the hotmail servers. Thanks!

Yeh take it all, chances are they wont read any of the text, they will just be looking at the pictures, so make sure you can show them the best CAD pictures, rendered preferably! Things to touch and look at are also good, providing they arnt massive!

    MX-5 Project log thread

Nice, do you reckon the braided lines or the new fluid made the real improvement though? I've been looking at doing this myself - should have done it at the same time I changed the solid brake pipes

    Top Gear Christmas Special

There should have been more focus on talking about the cars, rather than telling us they are in the middle of a war constantly & pretending to get stuck/get themselves in another ridiculous situation
