    HardOCP compare a 2600K with a 7700K

Thats exactly what I did just before Christmas, I thought I would wait until just after Christmas and evaluate the new CPUs before upgrading those as well, but now I have a GTX1080 BF1 at ultra at 1440p is amazingly smooth. I am still tempted to refresh my system, but its the lack of PC games...

Yep definitely the dell. I have mine sat next to a 27inch IPS panel and there is very little difference to my eyes.

    Dell S2716DG - Dells first G-sync

I got my S2716DG yesterday and have it setup and configured as TFTCentral recommend. I haven't done the ICC profile yet, but the screen is just amazing. I have been playing the BF1 beta and admittedly with my 970 at stock I am only at times getting 90 fps on high at its native resolution it...

    Upgrading from a 970

Hmm thats not encouraging :( I was looking at getting that monitor as my ancient xl2410t needs upgrading to something made in this century it doesn't feel like I have had my 970 that long and it still utterly destroys stuff even the newer games I have played.

    s2716dg or pg278q

I am finding this whole current generation of monitors rather frustrating. I keep going around in circles. I will be researching one gaming monitor and will find good reviews, more good reviews and then uh oh shed loads of people who have ended up with massive back bleeding or dead pixels or DOA...

    2.1 Speaker System ~£160

Speaker System I don't think you are going to get a very good amp and speakers for £160. I would instead look to either active speakers which will not require you to buy a separate amplifier. As already mentioned the Corsair 2500 is a meant to be good. Traditionally with PC sound and...

    Repair or Upgrade ?

I have a G35 headset that I have had packed away for a while, as I have now largely finished renovating my house I have had chance to unpack my gaming stuff and get back in to gaming so I dusted off the G35. Unfortunately while the headset still works flawlessly the ear pads have now...

    Testing your overclock

Hi Guys, I am just wondering how you test your system is stable after you have overclocked it ? I have just had my motherboard replaced by OCUK as the previous one was faulty and I rebuilt the system yesterday and for the first time tonight I played some BF3 for about 2 and a half hours...

    What does this mean ?

Fair enough, the wording threw me. Never had this much trouble with a system before :) It will be good to get back to playing BF3 and throw World of Tanks back into the recycle bin which I have been stuck playing on my old rebuilt E6600 system for the last 3 weeks !! :)

    A Stable Reliable 2600K Mobo ?

Looks like my current mobo has developed a fault and I need a replacement to take an i7 2600k and potentially allow me to over clock it to at least 4.6ghz. Any models at the moment proving to be particularly popular ? I am staying away from Asus for the time being.. I have heard that...

    GTX 570 Woes

    GTX 570 Woes

Temps for the CPU appears to be stable at around 34-40 idle and maxing out around 55 which seems fine when over clocked. I have been doing some testing with the CPU running at stock speeds. Which appears to make no difference did a reset to defaults to make sure in the BIOS but still the same...

    GTX 570 Woes

Well I ordered a MSI GTX570 Twin Fozr III which came today. Put it in and fired the machine up got the red light again, but continued. Fired up BF3 played it for about 20 minutes and then bam it did the same thing... So I'm in new territory now, I have never had a power supply degrade on me...
