I had two bits of information this week:
- I was 72 in the queue.
- There was a Good amount (previously stated as 75-100) of my card coming in.
Based on those two bits of info I was expecting a shipping notification... Instead I got an email to say my queue position moved down to just 31...
Yeah would be nice. Stock updates are coming in much more slowly now... so guess they're not harassing ASUS as much?
I basically need a Dual fan 3070 for case space reasons and now feel like I'm a bit trapped in as there's no stock appearing anywhere else either...
All mics that are built into cables or headsets are bound to pick up quite a lot of ambient audio as they are generally omnidirectional.
The best rule of thumb is the closer you get the mic to the source, the higher the signal to noise ratio. The perfect spot for a mic is about 6 inches in...
That is a pretty standard kit and none of it in and of itself should cause any problems.
This sounds like a latency problem and could be any number of little things. Here are a few things I'd look into:
- Excessive CPU and RAM usage while you're gaming/recording?
- Most motherboards use...
Yeah similarly I moved from position 119 to 112... probably cancellations.
In the main thread they have said that the early chips are binning well, so manufacturers are focussing on getting out the OC and higher end models while they can; without knowing how the next batch of chips will turn out.
I've been silently following this product and threads like this one for a little while now and have come to the conclusion that, with the latest revision of the firmware, ASUS may well have sorted out nearly all of the trouble with the VDSL module in the router... (Please correct me if I'm...
Surface Pro 3? If you can wait 'til the end of August...
My younger brother has the Surface pro 2 with the smaller screen and loves it. The Surface Pro 3 has a 12" screen and decent choice of specs. i3 to i7.
Quality processor, excellent screen, actually looks good too... Plus I already own a ton of Android software. One question remains:
What's the battery life like?
Even this product description for a flagship product could do with a proof read:

It's pretty unforgivable to just throw out poorly translated English direct to a main retail outlet. It read like a bad Google translate job when it...
So this looks pretty amazing! This would make a really great mobile audio and video workstation. Between this and possibly the upcoming MSI GS60 with the 3k display or (if it comes to the UK) the new Razer Blade 14 which is also touch enabled.
Regarding this X13 though:
How loud are the fans...
The microphone itself is quite sensitive so volume shouldn't be a problem. But, not owning that headset or even knowing what sound card you are using, it's difficult to say exactly what the problem is, but check the basics...
- Have you definitely plugged the mic cable into the mic input on...
I would if doing HD video editing using Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere, then you'll want an Nvidia GTX series card too. Just for the CUDA acceleration, which makes everything a lot faster.
yeah that's my thinking. I've come to the conclusion the mobo is reading wrong or it's a broken sensor.
I just did a 1min sample watching the temp readings in the BIOS... lots of jumping about. It read these temps when it didn't say 124C:

I just got myself a new system to build myself

I just upgraded to a hex core, with the quad channel controller... 32gb was too cheap to pass up on. I probably need about 16 for the most intensive work I do at home (audio and video editing). The fact that I don't NEED it all didn't really put me off. I may sell half of it if I start feeling...
being as I'm just awaiting parts to upgrade from q6600 to i7 3930k... no, I think I should be set for a while!
imo the q6600 would have been fine for another year had the motherboard not been dying, so used it as an excuse to drastically upgrade!
When I bought my a580 (last of Sony's full mirror/prism cameras), I tried the a55 and didn't get along with the EVF in that. But that was 1st generation technology.
From what I've read the a65/a77 have vastly improved the design, functionality and performance to come as close as possible to...
