Pure accident. It didn't boot first time around because the mobo power connector wasn't in properly. As much as it sounds I'm not a noob, I've been building computers for years!

I doubt it's overloaded the mobo, as I say it's working fine now with windows running on it.

I should say as well it's already half way through installing windows using the on board graphics...

I built it myself. I'm using XFX Pro 650W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply. I'm not too sure about it being the power supply though as the graphics card popped before I'd plugged either of the power connectors into it... My knowledge of this is if you try and do this the computer just...

Hey guys, just bought a new PC from OcUK, built it and turned it on and the graphics card flashed and emitted a puff of smoke and a foul smell of burning and that was it. I've just sent OcUK a webnote, hopefully gonna RMA it. Any other advice for what to do with it? It's a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 560...

I did look at that, but I'm not really interested in overclocking. Been there done that, guess it's from using a mac but I want to set it up and go, without having to fiddle with it :P Also, I'm trying to save money not spend more ;) Ty though :)

The resolution may have something to do with the settings on the television. Go into the picture settings and turn overscan off.
