    Which Case To Get ?

The Enthoo Luxe gets my vote too. I'm using it for a new Skylake build. I just need to install another hard drive and add the extra interior lighting strip and then I am done. My old Obsidian 650D was a decent case but the Luxe is so much better.

**TODAY ONLY! 22/09/2014** Corsair H60 and Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Full Tower Case - White

I realise this thread is 11 months old but what are the chances of a price drop on the black one please? And why not throw in a free 1m LED strip while you're in a generous mood? It's the perfect case for my soon-to-be-ordered Skylake build. It's time to retire my old i5 750 :D

** PHANTEKS ENTHOO LUXE - ULTIMATE EXPANSION AND COOLING CHASSIS **

Nice to see the Phanteks rep responding so quickly to your post. I hope you get your replacement strip soon. (The Enthoo Luxe is on my shopping list for a new Skylake build. I am holding off pressing the "buy" button in the hope that it might appear on a daily or weekly deal :))

    Who is skylake aimed at?

I think the i5 6600k is a perfect upgrade for my 6 year old Lynnfield i5 750. I will be using it primarily for gaming. I will give it a month or two to see whether the prices of the CPU and/or the Z170 motherboards drop a bit.

    Skylake Clockspeeds and benchmarks!

Well I think I've been putting off an upgrade long enough. I am expecting a Skylake i5 to show a noticeable improvement over my 6 year old Lynnfield i5 750.

    DGM IPS-2701WPH x2

My first DGM died after a few months. The replacement is still going after 18 months but the backlight bleed is quite bad and it has recently developed a few dozen dead pixels so I have replaced it with an Asus PB278Q. It's a gamble buying an "A" grade DGM but a "B" grade is definitely not...

Looking for a good 1440p 27 monitor for gaming

As the happy and satisfied owner of an Asus PB278Q, I would suggest that you seriously consider the AOC Q2770PQU. Don't get me wrong, the Asus is a really nice monitor. The PWM dimming was a concern, especially as I suffer from migraines but it has had no effect on me at all. I am told that...

    Back light bleed.

It looks as if they had run out of blu-tack when they were securing the panel to the bezel. On a positive note, some of that backlight bleed has now disappeared behind the lower bezel so it's not all bad  Seriously though, like I said in my first post. Send it back!!

    Back light bleed.

That would do my head in! Send it back. Though it's not quite as bad as the 2 Iiyama XB2779QS monitors I bought and returned at Christmas...

    Back light bleed.

Definitely send it back. It's not unusual to get a small amount of backlight bleed but that sounds quite bad. Also, there shouldn't be anything rattling around in the case. Personally I would never touch Hazro again. Mine only lasted 3 weeks but having said that, I know that there are a...

Iyamma 27inch 1440p backlight bleed getting worse: Replace or buy different and sell replacement?

I bought one of those Iiyama XB2779QS monitors over Christmas. Like yours, the backlight bleed was terrible. I took it back after 2 days and OcUK swapped it for another one which was just as bad. Hopefully Iiyama will send you a "good" replacement which might be worth hanging on to. As for me...

Asus aftercare, PB278Q replacement monitor is such a joke its untrue!

I work for a software company. I have no affiliation to any hardware manufacturer. I admit that the Asus PB278Q was not my first choice. I got through two Iiyama XB2779QS monitors in one week at Christmas. Both RMA'd. Both with terrible backlight bleed. I didn't want to use my old DGM...

Asus aftercare, PB278Q replacement monitor is such a joke its untrue!

I bought my PB278Q monitor a few months ago but if I was looking to buy another 1440p monitor then I would definitely avoid Asus after reading this thread.

Asus aftercare, PB278Q replacement monitor is such a joke its untrue!

Frankly I am appalled. I bought the same monitor at Christmas. After reading your experience with Asus, it begs the question: What does this statement (below) on the OcUK "PB278Q" product page actually mean? - Warranty: 3 Years On-Site (Premium Panel Guarantee) It looks as if Asus are...

    27" Monitor Confusion

Well assuming you do buy the Asus, please post your thoughts back here. The last person I convinced to buy the PB278Q was slightly disappointed because he said that he was used to a glossy monitor. (The Asus has a light anti glare coating.) Personally I don't mind it but some people do.

    27" Monitor Confusion

I've only had the monitor since Christmas so I can't comment on the warranty/support. According to the OcUK product page, the Asus has a "Premium Panel Guarantee" but I haven't been able to find a definition of what that actually means. Also, I've just noticed that the OcUK specification...

    27" Monitor Confusion

I recently upgraded to the R9 290 so that I could play Metro Last Light in 1440p with everything maxed out. Initially I was disappointed with the framerates being really poor until I realised that the nVidia "PhysX" option was enabled by default in the game options. I disabled it. Now I get...

    27" Monitor Confusion

I replaced a DGM IPS-2701 with the Asus PB278Q. I am really pleased with it. The AG coating is very light. Response times seem good for a PLS panel. Good contrast. No dead pixels and tiny patch of backlight bleed which I hardly notice at all. I do suffer from migraines so I was worried...
