I have a s9+ direct from samung on a SIM only from EE which expires next month. Wificalling works fine without any special firmware. If I move to o2 or Vodafone (they have better reception at my new work) will I be able to keep using Wi-Fi calling with the open market firmware or do o2/Vodafone...

I’ve done the same with 0% finance and a SIM only contract. Although not sure if WifiCalling and 4G calling works with Vodaphone or O2 unless you bought it directly from them. Think WifiCalling on EE works irrespective where you buy it.

I spent some of yesterday messing around with the placement of the 2nd unit in the lounge (I moved it closer to the main unit in the room) and I'm now getting the maximum 200/200 from the virgin broadband. Terrific bit of kit.

Just set mine up - very impressed. Full wifi coverage over a medium semi detached. Can get 160 of my 200 virgin connection downstairs in my lounge from the router in the study upstairs - more than enough for streaming/games etc. Used to get about 100 using the virgin SH.

Speakers may be okay if water got in the headphone jack. Sometimes water interferes with the headphone detection and it thinks you have headphones connected so 'disables' the speakers. It may fix itself once properly dry.

Not sure if the ones you are using have a pass through socket, but if they do, make sure you are plugging in everything after the pass through as it acts as a noise filter

I'd agree with this if it wasn't for netflix. With power block, memory card and case, a PI3 is 1/3 price of a Shield. Will play almost anything (unless you want 4k 10bit H265 stuff). Kodi support is much better with the PI, given the likes of OSMC, openelec etc.. I guess you can use the xbox...
