    TV Licence Super Thread

The mismanagement by the executives at the top at the BBC over the last decade or two is ridiculous. It was insanely obvious ages ago that broadcast TV would go the way of the Dodo. Once everyone has access to super fast internet and the current retirement age generation is gone, who is going...

Every driver makes mistakes. None of them are infallible and will inevitably end up in the wall due to their own mistake on occasion. It's all about the frequency of it happening. Make a silly mistake/have a crash which is your fault once in a season? Pretty normal. Do it repeatedly and make...

I think Max would have retaken 1st (in fact he never would have lost it in the first place) if not for the stuck brake. Perez apparently had a helmet tear off wedged in his floor that caused a significant loss in performance, so he might well have finished higher had it not been for that. I...

Yeh, Ferrari definitely did it partially for commercial reasons too. I doubt it was all based on their expectations of what he will bring as a driver. Ferrari will make a colossal amount of money back from selling merchandise with his name on it/sponsorship deals etc. The salary they are paying...

Expect better than 3rd in the championship in almost certainly not the clear 2nd fastest car? Also beating his teammate by 5 places in the standings? Lewis had a very good season last year. I really don't know why people like yourself are writing him off. I'm not expecting anything from him...

Don't blame him for that reaction to be honest. Pretty scary being on your side in the middle of the track with your back to the oncoming cars after a blind corner like that. Could have been really nasty if the race wasn't neutralised somehow immediately.

Wasn't it the last lap though? How else would they have got back to the pits (other than stopping them all dead and getting the safety car to take them back the other way or something)

Unfortunate for Max, but very fortunate for the rest of us. Pleased for Sainz. He likely wouldnt have won if Max didn't retire, but he did everything right to be there for that eventuality. Amazing also considering he just had a fairly significant bit of surgery two weeks ago. Somehow Merc...

It just seems odd to say he is "dropping back" after he just had a very good season and came 3rd in the championship compared to his teammate who came 8th. No, he's not in top form at the start of this season, but hardly any drivers are hitting their peak ability in every race, especially if...

Why doesn't last season mean much? What metric do you use to decide if a driver is past it? A couple of dodgy races in a dodgy car at the start of a season? This season will be difficult to judge him by. He's likely mentally checked out as he is going to Ferrari, and I can't imagine...

Lewis is dropping back? Last season he came 3rd in the driver's championship and came semi close to second in arguably the 3rd or 4th fastest car at times, whilst his teammate (arguably one of the fastest new talents on the grid) came 8th. He's had a poor start to the season, but I don't see...

Well I guess we are in for another dull race tomorrow then... Max saying there is a question mark for tomorrow and that makes it exciting....lol yeh whatever. Impressive from Sainz all things considered. That Mercedes is utter dog ****. Even Mr Saturday was 8 tenths off and only as fast as...

    Russia concert hall attack

It's a tricky one. I get what you are saying, and undoubtedly there might have been some decent good souls caught up in the attack who didn't deserve it. Especially so in terms of young children. But at the same time, Russia are currently a country who is invading it's neighbour, killing...

    Men's make up

Yeh, too much make up on anyone just looks a bit silly. I mean, I don't mind people doing what they want, but thick plastered on make up isn't a look that I find appealing/attractive at all. Unless you are starring in a theatre production in a big theatre, there really isn't any need for it.

    Men's make up

I thought it was already mainstream in the west? Nearly half of the American voting public adore a man who wears it daily. The same people think he's a strong, powerful manly man as well, so it doesn't appear to affect his image/persona with them at all. Seems like it is very accepted, at...

    Locksmith question

Not sure really. I guess it's because it's rarely going to cause anything dangerous. It affects security sure, but there is little you can do as a locksmith that would end up killing someone or causing extensive property/environmental/ infrastructure damage, as opposed to an electrician or gas...

Hope that isn't too hasty. Having your appendix out is a routine/common procedure, but a fairly large one still. I had mine out when I was younger and was in hospital on a drip for 4 or 5 days after and then had to have a further two weeks off with no strenuous activity to ensure the massive...
