Indeed. Apparently the E93 lacks the necessary structural rigidity to handle so much torque. The torque from the 335d motor caused the body to twist/warp very slightly.
Out of interest Fox are you dead set on an M Sport? Given that the SE 335's have the same suspension, is it really worth paying the extra? The SE looks better anyway IMO.
Plus isn't finding a 330i in the right spec/condition/mileage etc going to be a nightmare given that BMW only sold about 4 of them? Should be much easier to a find the right 335i/335d.

It's not about running 'the best' car you can for the money, it's about running something you have a particular interest/passion for. Buying any car that costs £5k a year to run is never going to be a rational choice.
Formula 3000 cars are very serious racing cars, basically one step below F1. There's not a chance a novice would be let loose in one.
The links you posted are Formula 3 cars. I very much doubt you'd drive one of those either. You'll probably turn up and find an ancient Formula Vauxhall Lotus...
