    Gigabyte M28U Release Date

Self-reply. It seems that having two screens connected to my GPU both via DP perhaps exacerbated this issue. Connecing my second screen (DELL U2515H 2K/1440p) via HDMI seems to have resolved the issue without the need for clocking the screen down to 120Hz or modifying the colour space.

This. As a owner of the M28U I'd be annoyed if this was dramatically improved less than 3 months after release

    Gigabyte M28U Release Date

Does anyone still get the strange black screen bug that appears to be tied to hardware accelleration in Chrome/Firefox etc? Anyone know of a fix for it? (Firmware F07 / 497.09).

As far as I'm aware there are no fans in this monitor. It's perfectly silent.

    Gigabyte Monitor RMA.

Short-term fix: Check if your monitor supports OSD sidekick - which is a utility that allows you to control the OSD features via an app and over USB.

    Gigabyte M28U Release Date

Unfortunately I think I've discovered why the return rates for these screens are so high. I've found a fault with the screen front and centre, almost like a small puncture in the sub-pixel array beneath the LCD itself. Will be RMA'ing this to get a replacement. One of those things that once you...

    Gigabyte M28U Release Date

Mine arrived yesterday. Fantastic screen so far. I've heard that the latest firmware (F06) reduces the imput lag significantly (4ms to ~2ms) but it looks to have been pulled from the website. Just a general PSA for those of you still running this firmware - I've heard of compatibility issues...

I ordered on Friday, but it looks like I missed the block of deliveries that OCUK had coming in. Do we know when these will be back in stock?

Shoppers 'to be charged 20p on plastic bottles & Metal Cans under return scheme

As long as councils are prepared for this, and offer an easy means to recycle the bottles/cans that is accessible (especially currently given the COVID-19 restrictions) I'm all for it. Annoyingly my council (Newham) is a little backwards when it comes to recycling - and glass goes in the...

Advice - New build or GTX Upgrade?

3060 should hopefully be a little more available due the software nerfing of Etherium mining workflows. How long that will last however I have no idea.

    Electriq C series - 34" 3440 x 1440 VA QLED 144Hz for £350

/revive. Hello chaps, recently stumbled upon this brand/monitor and wonder if anyone has any follow up points regarding it. It seems like a "too good to be true" scenario, and with the reports of flickering I guess that would be true. However I've heard tweaks to the Freesync settings in the...

New Build Crashing Games - Help Required

Try Moving the PCI-E cables for the GPU around on your PSU - it may be that you're just pushing one of the "rails" too high (I'm aware of the multi v.s. single PSU rail fallacy, but worth a go anyway). If possible try powering the GPU off a separate dedicate PSU (using the ATX 24 pin short...

Ikea worktops - strong enough for monitor stand?

I recently got a BARKABODA worktop from IKEA which is 3mm of wood vaneer and then a composite core. This things feels very solid, and I wouldnt really have guessed it wasn't solid oak apart from the price and perhaps the weight. The 1860mm version is ~27kg when unboxed and personally I've not...

Consistent BSOD in "Control" - 5900X/3090

wasn't strictly a daily chain. The Corsair HX850W was semi-modular, so I was using both of the built-in PCI-E connectors.

Consistent BSOD in "Control" - 5900X/3090

Indeed the PSU replacement fixed it. However I'd fixed it before the new 1200W PSU arrived by balancing the 3090 power connectors across different ports on my older 850W PSU. I guess in the original configuration it was pushing a single rail too far - moving one pwoer connectior from the...

Consistent BSOD in "Control" - 5900X/3090

UPDATE #2 Spent the evening moving the card around between PCI-E slots, it looked as if the second slot didn't produce a BSOD, but after 20-30 minute it did the same thing. The PSU left over from my old build has two PCI-E 8-pin connectors that are "built-in" (e.g. not modular) and modular...

Consistent BSOD in "Control" - 5900X/3090

UPDATE #1 Ran MemTest86 throughout the day - All tests were selected, and I ran 4x passes of each (including the fabled "Hammer" test). Zero errors returned after 7:16:53 of testing. I also re-instated the XMP/DOCP profile before the test - so it was running at 3600MHz/1.35v - this pretty much...
