Depends on what your used to, I started gaming with WASD and a full width left shift key, I cant use a keyboard with a small left shift, my pinkie usually hits somewhere between the left shift and the extra key. If I wanted extra keys I would probably choose ESDF which many gamers prefer over WASD.
