    TV Aerial question

I assume you speak from personal experience? I have had no connection issues for the whole 4 years I have been with them if anything they have been the best provider I have had in a decade. I have not dealt with their customer service, but have not needed to. Plus, the whole hassle of calling...

    TV Aerial question

Thanks for the replies. :) As a side topic; is it possible to keep my Sky Broadband and lose the tv element? I tried to do this a year ago and they said no, but then gave me everything for free for 6 months. I then forgot about it (which they expect you to do) and then so am back paying...

    TV Aerial question

I currently wish to cancel my contract with Sky HD. I have no aerial installed. I have a HD dish installed with the standard two F type connectors which go into the back of the Sky box. Is it possible to use the Sky dish as a standard tv/freeview aerial if I was to buy a F type Female to Coax...

Western Digital Live Streamer audio problem

Having spent hours looking into this, I think I have stumbled over the issue. TV speakers! I have the audio set with a custom equaliser rather than the standard Samsung presets - its marginally bass heavy (half way between 0 and max for last two sliders, if that makes sense). Regardless...

Western Digital Live Streamer audio problem

Hi, I bought the WD Live Streamer and for the most part it works rather well. I can play video (locally, streamed, Netflix) and the audio is excellent - can have it loud and sounds great. However, if I try playing any mp3's (locally or streamed) or iPlayer content the sound is distorted...

    Listening to Radio

Want to get rid of an old stereo in our dining room and use the PC to play radio stations instead (mainstream ones like Radio1, Radio2 etc). Rather than going to the stations website and streaming, is there a program that you can buy/download that works much like an actual 'radio' that has all...

Wildfire S - need some help please

Perhaps if you read the whole paragraph you would see that it is no longer a problem, so not a case of generally being slow. Would you consider it normal for any phone to take four seconds to be responsive after coming out of keylock? Well according to HTC it is smartarse! -...

Wildfire S - need some help please

Well we switched the phone off and attempted a hard reset - but it refused to go to the boot menu. I tried repeatedly times but no joy (switch phone off, hold down volume down button and then press power). Then thought I would try after removing the battery. Interestingly, the boot menu...

Wildfire S - need some help please

Thanks for getting back to me; we are going to try a factory reset this evening and back to Orange.

Wildfire S - need some help please

The one that came loaded as default was an Orange one; I changed it to the standard HTC one but still the same problem. I tried setting a pin and also a pattern lock, but the moment you swipe to make the screen active, there is a lag of about 4 seconds before you can even type the pin or swipe...

Wildfire S - need some help please

I am guessing the Orange one - nope not tried changing that, will have a look now, thanks. I have a HTC Desire so relatively not a complete noob. I did search on Google and whilst a handful forums show others are having the same problem, I was unable to find a direct answer. Ideally, I just...

Wildfire S - need some help please

Phone is locked after either being left to its own or by tapping top button. Unlock phone by touch sliding. Phone unlocked (no number/pattern lock implemented). Phone keys and also desktop shortcut completely unresponsive for 3-4 seconds. You suggested "my tester here in front of me...

Wildfire S - need some help please

Hi, My wife bought a Wildfire S and for the most part loves it. What we have noticed is that if it goes into keylock, and is then unlocked, all the keys are completed unresponsive (the 'search' button is the only exception). By keys, I mean both the touch ones on the bottom and any...

    My DSLR dilema...

Personally, given you love shooting macro stuff I would say you should spend less on the body and factor in the price of a dedicated macro lens and a flash. I am basing this on what you shoot. If you were to buy a D90, macro and flash it would all come in within budget. Or older Canon model if...

    Turf!

I lawned my back garden a year ago; much easier than you think to be honest. The key is in the preparation. Make sure everything is turned over properly and any sign of weeds, roots etc, get rid as they will come back to bite you otherwise. Grass is pretty forgiving and whilst the experts...

    Land Sea Sky XII

Has massive potential, but as others have said it is way too dark. Your processing is very heavy handed. Sorry :-)

    Flash based landscape idea

If you don't have Photoshop; then download Microsoft ICE which is free and does the job nicely. As for the scrolling flash etc; you can build that once you have the image.
