    Internet speed test

That cloudflare one seems to only download 8mb in total, surely if you've got a halfway decent connection that's no way near enough to get a stable reading.

    Subwoofer capacitors

Likely fake or salvaged if they are branded ones at that price I'd have thought. No name caps are probably ok, but there's a reason that they have a reputation for failing early or leaking. Not worth it to save £1.5.

    Subwoofer capacitors

Through hole probably, shouldn't matter either way as long as the pin pitch is similar enough.

How to restore all minimised windows? Windows 11

I don't seem to have any issues with Win-shift-M, it still restores everything even after playing games or opening other windows. But it will only maximise windows which were minimised by a shortcut, if you minimise with the mouse instead it won't work on those windows. I actually don't think...

Any GPG / PGP experts on here?

Yeah, I think so. I had to fudge it and force delete the private key on the local keyring, otherwise it just always tried to use the local key. I think the addkey command was supposed to delete the local key, but it never did for some reason. After I did that and ran the same command you did, I...

Any GPG / PGP experts on here?

Something like using the addtocard command in gpg to transfer them to the yubikey? I believe that only leaves a pointer/stub to the private key on your keyring, telling gpg that the full key is on a certain yubikey, so you'd need the yubikey to provide the private key when needed, and it should...

Creative T20 Series II speakers standby mode?

Same, I literally just did the same on my T40s today, it works perfectly and it was easy to do. No idea why I put up with it so long.

    RGB fan control issue

I thought I'd post this in case anyone else ran into the same problem as me. I'd bought this 230mm fan to replace a dead case fan, https://www.overclockers.co.uk/bitfenix-spectre-pro-rgb-fan-command-kit-230mm-fg-11b-bx.html, and at first I just couldn't get it to run at anything other than...

Looking for a better home router for 1gb Internet. Recommendations pls

Yeah, I normally use nperf.com, but it was more or less the same using other sites. I use hyperoptic's provided router, which is a Nokia HA-140W-B. They card and router are both 4x4 mimo, and probably less than 10 meters away. No way you are getting anything close to that otherwise I suspect...

Looking for a better home router for 1gb Internet. Recommendations pls

I briefly used an asus pce-ac88 card, that managed just under 900mbs with hyperoptic's provided router, which isn't that far off what I get hardwired. I did return it in the end though, it had an annoyingly large 4x4 antenna array. It was also only about 10m away from the router, and not as...

****The Official 5G Home Broadband Thread**** (Three/EE/Vodafone/etc)

Depends what's causing the variance really. Could you post your signal stats from the 3 router? If you already have a strong signal an antenna won't help, it might just be congestion on the mast, and there isn't much you can do about that. Could be the Wifi as well if you are using that.

    junk email [anl10]@mail.onedrive.com

I don't think stuff with square brackets before the @ is actually a valid email, so its weird that it actually comes through like that. Could you replace both the [ ] with * instead? I think that should block anything from one drive with anl10 in it.

Excel - Trying to return a outcome based on value.

Aren't these two bits mutually exclusive? Your index value is never going to be higher than 2, so it will never choose 'Term Ext', because only two of the arguments can be true at the same time. It will show #value when all three are false as well. Also, I don't think you have an outcome for...

    2xRCA (or other input) mixing

You could get something like this and just leave all inputs on max: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Btuty-Stereo-4-Channel-Separate-Controls/dp/B09BR28NLS/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Stereo+Sound+Mixer&qid=1647973983&sr=8-5. This would work on any speakers, and it's passive so no need to power it. You can't...

Just bought Sony WH XM4 (over ear).. PC issues?

Yeah, it definitely auto switches, I tried it with skype yesterday. At least it does on windows 11. If you take the calls on your phone using multipoint, and never use the mic on the pc, you can just disable the headset device in windows, then it will never swap anyway. The sound quality for...

Just bought Sony WH XM4 (over ear).. PC issues?

Yeah, I have these as well. All bluetooth headphones with a mic show up as two devices - headset and headphones, and only one can be in use at a time. Headset is the low fidelity version with a mic. I think this is an issue with bluetooth in general, doesn't matter what you are connecting to...

    M.2 compatibility

Should be fine, I don't think the bootloader cares which slot it's in.
  18. lord filbuster

    M.2 compatibility

Yeah, both slots can handle NVme drives, so it will work no problem, it will just be ever so slightly slower. I have the same drive, and it benches at about 2200MB read, so it would be bottlenecked in a 2.0 slot, but you aren't going to notice the difference in actual use.
  19. lord filbuster

    M.2 compatibility

It will work fine, PCIe is completely backward and forward compatible. What motherboard do you have? As long as both slots are NVme and not m2 sata it will be fine. I think pcie gen 2 at 4x tops out at about 2GB/s, so technically slightly slower than your old drive, but I doubt you'd notice...
