Yes, I imagine it might help to buffer/smooth the voltage from the main batteries to the more sensitive components also - that said, I can't see why they aren't smarter - ie could use the main battery to trickle feed/maintain the 12V - just old fashioned thinking I suspect from petrol design...

Yeah, think easier to just swap the battery - although I agree car battery chargers are a mess of non-standards - eg trickle Vs smart, work with start/stop Vs don't, jump capability Vs not. The 'smart' ones appear to have gone backwards in ability to actually charge batteries.....!

There seems to be a few bugs introduced in latest version 2.4.3 - few folks have resolved by downgrading (most suggest 2.4.1) - have you tried this? Then just give it some time and upgrade once bugs ironed out?

Hi all, Quick one - moving ISP to Aquiss and they state no router supplied with their fttp offering. I've always bridged the isp router to my UDM Pro on my FTTC setups. When open reach install FTTP, can I connect the openreach modem directly to my UDM Pro or will I need an intermediary...
