me2!!
The Mali GPU is part of the RK3188 architecture, but it's a smaller manufacturing process and more than double the clockspeed of the RK3066 so there should be a significant performance boost! Should be more than enough to accommodate retina resolutions.
I agree with your options, the...
Only thing I can think to recommend is a Corsair PSU if you can get one or a Seasonic if you can find a cheaper modular model over there.
Are you going to join us in the SSD era? Now that will make a huge difference in general day usage, believe me!
Oh really?
Plays absolutely peachy on my "aging" 4870 xFire setup. Got it running at 1920x1200 with most settings on Ultra except for texture setting which I had to drop to High because the game doesn't utilize both cards memory properly.
Also saw it running on an older system with a single...
it's not a replacement for a GF9300 775 board, Intel graphics suck and will continue to suck until Larrabee arrives (which is probably never at this rate).
I've finally started to build my system as the last few parts for my custom case arrived the other day and I was able to get cracking. I'm trying to keep a log of what I've been doing and add some photos and videos as I go along. Clicky here
I've just got finished test building the system on...
This is what I'm talking about with the PicoPSU & external power brick.

I was just about to order mine actually only to find the store I was planning on buying from is out of stock of nearly everything I need until December...
The problem I found is I wanted the smallest possible case with slot loading facia with out spending £300+ on a case. As it stands its going to cost me around £30 in parts to build a case and another £10-20 in tools. The picoPSU + external transformer cost about £65. So its costing me about...
Any beeps or keyboard lights or any kind of indication it's doing POST?
If so, try resetting the bios (Clear cmos) and see if that helps.
If that doesn't help or your not getting any visual indication from lights flashing etc that the BIOS is posting.. You probably had a bad bios flash = rma...
I have got some very rough sketches, but they're not good enough to post on here. I also don't want to show my design until I've actually done it.. Because it's simple but unique at the same time and I don't want some1 stealing it ;).
I plan to cool the CPU with a Scythe BIG Shuriken. The...
I'd be quite impressed if we had talked on the phone, but unless I can hold conversations during my sleep.. I think that's pretty much impossible. ;)
But I'll be happy to take the cred, if there's some £ in it for me :p
I've bought some sheet aluminium to construct my own case now. I think I've come up with a design that if I do right should look as good as a high end itx case, but at a fraction of the cost.
Sev, have you thought about a separate psu for your gpu?
I have a Thermaltake 250w GPU psu, that fits in a 5.25" drive bay. It's still in it's plastic wrap brand new. I bought it for my xfire system as I was worried my corsair didn't have enough power, but it turned out I didn't need it. I'm...
Can't say whats the maximum resolution, but I would gander it being able to do well past full HD resolutions.
I plan to use a 120watt PicoPSU with mine. Should be plenty for a the E5300 (2.6Ghz dual core) bluray drive and ssd.
I know, GT... It's great if there is actual support to undervolt in the bios.. But we will see ;).
Another distributor got back to me today, saying that the product is available to the UK from today and they were waiting for pricing which they'd forward me. So I expect to see more places...
Spoke to one of the distributors and he said there is 20 of these boards arriving at another retailer, which whom I've placed an order with. I can't tell you which retailer, because that would be breaking the rules around here *sigh*. But I will say it is one of the retailers that specializes...
So far I've contacted Zotac sales and they were unable to give me a date as to when the board would hit the UK. They instead referred me onto 2 UK distributors, neither of which list the product on their site yet. So I've emailed them to see what the hold up is.
Yeah it is pretty ridiculous since they support it on some of their other ITX boards. I just think they don't want to spend the money adding the feature.
