Not far off, I moved to an altnet recently (MS3) on a 1Gb symmetrical service. Got the first 3 months for 99p, then £29pm thereafter!
No 'goes up to £40/50/60pm' either at end of contract. Very happy with it. :D
Yep, same as mine. House built in the 80s, BT in their infinite wisdom decided to install armoured copper cable - no ducting!
I caught an Openreach auditor checking the work last year after they installed FTTP in my area. The chap reckoned they'd survey direct buried lines on a case-by-case...
They've made a blog post detailing the planned pricing changes... https://unraid.net/blog/pricing-change
As @Avalon states, they're re-affirmed that any existing license holders are unaffected & will retain lifetime updates.
I was gonna say, nothing wrong giving them a go. FTTP by anyone is gonna be a stellar upgrade if you're on ADSL/FTTC.
If they go bust, they'll be taken over or bought out by someone anyway. So your connection should be (hopefully) maintained by someone else.
Personally go with Aruba, good quality kit. Not really sure how Zyxel kit performs these days.
If you're willing to put other models in the mix, I personally went for the TP-Link Omada EAP670 last year. Works brilliantly.
tl;dr people have different priorities when it comes to shopping round for broadband, and varying degrees of free time.
'Nuff said - neither is wrong. :D
Yes. I gave VM notice 2 weeks ago, contract ends 26th March.
They originally tried doing it 30 days from when I spoke to them, charging me for the last month. I asked them to end it for when my contract ends and they have.
