This is the best advice on this thread.
Don't worry about the model outcome at all. I did my necron army and can honestly say I didnt care about the standard, just how it looks all together. I've put effort into my characters but the full 3000+ points took around 100 hours. I've spent well over...
Infinite and divine is brilliant.
Pro tip on TSK. Paint the king and the phaerons on separate bases.
If you can pin their feet and then use some dots of white paint to locate drill points on the throne before you prime it will help a bunch.
Paint his cape and the ctan separately too...
I really like AoS minis but have no plans to learn another system either. I just took up killteam which cost me a rulebook and some tokens as I have the models already. But I've got two boxes of Warhammer underworlds in my to do list with a plan to learn a quicker to play game next year.
The...
because you don't play Black Templars.
All BT vehicles have a melta included in the cost. page 23/24 :)

Hi, I have been busy clearing down the to do list. one squad off 2kpoints for my black templars. pretty happy with that within the year.
just doing some odd Necron bits now as well as a couple of kill teams.
Sword Brethren
Assault Intercessor Squad
Chaplain
Castellan
Chaplain on Bike...
I've been using Artis Opus brushes for about a year now. They've smashed through around 1800pts of Black Templars, some Tau bits and a few units of necrons. I was sceptical at first but find they are nice and predictable to paint with. I am by no means an expert level painter but feel that they...
Ive got a Vitus Sentier 29 that I got a few months back when they dropped to sub £500. Great bike and loving weekly MTB trips.
So far I've converted it to tubeless and fitted a dropper post. The bike isnt lacking anywhere really but the brakes are pretty dire.
They havent given up on me but...
if its your first game of tenth, the quickstart guide will help enormously with weapon capabilities.
that was the biggest snagging point that slowed me down when I played my first game of 10th.
hopefully if its your first game then your opponent will be able to guide you through stuff and make...
my rule is this.
one model, a quick layer or gradient, no problem. windows open - use my 3m respirator.
priming a squad or anything that will require the compressor to kick in more than twice, then the booth comes out of the loft and the respirator stays on.
I fully understand that it's...
my advice would be to just use it for priming to start with. get used to the trigger action and how much flow you get in relation to the pull back.
I usually run mine around 25psi for vallejo black spray primer. I usually throw abbadon black into the airbrush if I am doing Templars and spray my...
Past few months have been spent doing Black Templars. Epic models with superb sculpts and loads of detail.
only downside is that it takes an age to finish anything. I have around 1000pts so far so am just continuing to build that force until I have 2k to play with.
For larger games I am using my...
Chaps via the bank branch local to the seller.
Seller arranged for transport to the bank and provided all the car documentation to the bank. all very straight forward. in hindsight we were just overthinking it
thanks for the advice all.
Car collected this week and the seller went out of their way to provide confidence.
Step Dad is over the moon with the car and is already working on it daily
I'll be going around this weekend to provide detailing services :D
Thanks for the advice all.
Sent him the thread and had a discussion. Looks like we are going down the route of a chaps payment as there is a branch of his bank close to the place we viewed the car.
Insisting on chaps with the seller so waiting for them to come back and agree now
Thanks for...
So the issue he's got with that is that they've suggested a chaps payment but obviously travelling over 140 miles to collect the car and wants to only initiate the transfer when he's there to collect rather than initiating the payment and then the seller disappears with the money or whatever...
Ok so update after speaking to him and.sending him this thread. He's spoken to the bank and they're telling him he has a £20k per day limit on a bank transfer.
I've said this is short sighted by the bank as the only other alternative to pay on collection day then becomes cash which he isn't...
Concern around the bank transfer after he has spoken to his bank is that daily limits are in place and they were not providing the flexibility to activate the transaction once they arrive for handover.
I've experienced it in the past when selling my car where money has taken a while to clear...
No worries. He owed the same year but a convertible in the past and is a wealth of knowledge on them. It's not perfect but it's not perfect car money either. He wanted something he can drive and do jobs to make his own rather than a project car or a restoration job.
Hi
My stepfather is purchasing a classic Mustang soon. Deal agreed and the car checks out.
The car is in the region of £50k and he is paying a small deposit via bank transfer shortly.
For the balance on collection day, what is the best method to do the transfer to a private seller as an...
