    Samsung SM-T220 or ViewSonic VP2250?

Ha, that's ironic. My wife hated it! I'm torn because of the following review of the VP2250 and the slightly less enthuasiastic one for the Samsung 226CW. Not seen many reviews yet for the T220 (although here's one for the T200 from the same source) but I thought it looked good!

    Samsung SM-T220 or ViewSonic VP2250?

Wow. Does no-one have one of these ViewSonics??? I know OCs seems to have largely stopped selling this manufacturer's screens but someone must have an idea what this one's like?

    Samsung SM-T220 or ViewSonic VP2250?

Hi, I'm looking for a 22" widescreen flatpanel for general graphics/video work and games. I've narrowed my search down to either Samsung's SM-T220 or ViewSonic's VP2250wb with my thoughts leaning towards the latter due to its known high image quality and the ability to pivot. Having said...

Would x1950pro & 2500+ be too CPU bound?

Thanks for that. I did try looking around the web for a list of graphics cards and the min recommended CPU to go with them but couldn't find one (guessing that there's too many variables to give an accurate picture). I'll see if I can dig out a decent x800 - x850 then.

Would x1950pro & 2500+ be too CPU bound?

Hi, I'm unsure whether there's any point in upgrading to an x1950pro card when I've got a 2500+ Barton CPU? Does anyone know if this is sensible or should I just go for an x850 or similar if the x1950 would be too CPU bound? I'm hoping to postpone the jump to PCIe for another 9 months so I've...

Is OCZ GameXstream 700W enough for x1950 Pro AGP?

Thought it should be ok. So if a card says it requires 30amps on the 12v rails, you can just total the amps on all 12v rails together then (18 x 4 = 72 amps for the OCZ)?

Is OCZ GameXstream 700W enough for x1950 Pro AGP?

Hi, I'm reading confusing reports as to what an x1950 Pro AGP card really needs to power it. Most forum posts/eBay listings recommend 30 amps on the 12 volt rails but my power supply's 4 rails are listed as 18 amps each as shown here. Surely this supply can handle this card as I bought it with...

    Best cheap DirectX 10 card?

Great advice (as ever). Looks like it's between an OcUK 8600GT 256MB GDDR3 or a Sapphire 2600XT 256MB GDDR3 both for £65. Better check my power supply... Probably should have said that I teach games engines at uni and I'm future-proofing until I can afford something better.

    Best cheap DirectX 10 card?

My line manager has seen the light and got me a fairly cheap HP E4400 PCi-Express machine but there's no graphics card in it... yet. Since it's a works PC, I don't want to spend much on getting it one. For various reasons, I would prefer to get a DirectX 10 capable card and I'm stuck between an...

Best AGP 4x Low-Profile Video Card?

It's my uni office machine but I've switched to teaching games design/programming (I know... no chance) and I've been told there's no money until next year for a new one. I just wanted to improve my current meager position as best as I'm able. Maybe I should start a fund?

Best AGP 4x Low-Profile Video Card?

Hi, I need to put a graphics card into an old Dell OptiPlex GX260 desktop but it can only take the low-profile cards. Is there anything better than a XFX GeForce 6200 for an AGP 4x slot?

    SLi-Ready Wolfdale compatible mobo?

Makes life easier then... I thought someone was missing a trick here.

    Samsung SM-226CW or LG M228WA

Aside from the TV tuner, the in-built speakers and the small price difference, is there any preference between these two excellent 22" widescreen TFTs?

    SLi-Ready Wolfdale compatible mobo?

Hi all, I'm starting to spec out a reasonably future-proof machine and I'm a bit stuck on the motherboard. I'd ideally like it to be SLi-ready and capable of supporting the up-and-coming Wolfdale 45nm CPUs but I can't seem to get much information about whether the current i680s can do this...
