Best chair under 400 EUR, for 6ft 9in

Avoid gaming chairs, they are all utter garbage. Super uncomfortable, and all lousy quality, regardless of brand i.e Secret Labs, Noblechairs etc (they are all likely made by the same people anyway) Buy a good quality 24 hour office chair. Check out Gamers Nexus who did a video on this too...

    LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

No i get you, i just mean, who wants to pay a £300 premium for a card that would be then only 5% faster than the 3090, and thus only around 13% faster than a 3080. You would expect a good 25% speed premium over the non Ti.... Saying that. People were paying £1500 for the 3090, so yeah, it...

    LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

The 3080 Ti should in theory be the worst Ti Nvidia have ever released. The Ti is historically around 95% of the performance of the top card (previously the Titan), and usually around 30% faster than the previous card (using 1080Ti and 980Ti as an example As the 3090 (basically Titan) is only...

    LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

Trumotion is disabled when the HDMI input is set to PC. Most of the settings you would normally turn off for an accurate picture, are by default, disabled on this mode. https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/hfan8y/lg_cx_pc_mode_and_game_mode/ TLDR "The downside I see to PC mode is many...

    Best RTX 3090 to buy?

I'll wait 3-4 months for the inevitable £999 3080Ti, which will be quicker than the 3090... Rumours are the 3090 is only 20% faster than the 3080, which at twice the price, would be laughable if true.

    ** NEW ASUS MONITORS - 280Hz, 43 INCHES, ELMB, G-SYNC ULTIMATE, FREESYNC2 AND MORE ** **

Agree 100%. Ludicrously overpriced given the OLED will wipe the floor with it.

The Ryzen 5 3600 Discussion Thread

Just switched my main unRAID server to an Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of ECC RAM, and its been absolutely phenomenal I would definitely recommend this CPU, it runs cool and the increase in speed from an old 6 core Xeon when unzipping / transcoding is insane All in a 65w package!

8PACK Launches his NEW £10,000 Gaming Machine - The Polaris MK2

Very, very impressive build quality. If i was to nitpick, i would say that i would expect a CaseLabs case not a Lian Li, more than 2TB of SSD storage and a better processor for £10k. I think 1TB is a waste for an OS drive. 250GB-500GB is fine, and then go for a bigger M.2 / SATA SSD for games...

CPU for Plex Media Server? (4k transcoding)

Surely it's cheaper to just stream directly and use an Nvdia Shield TV as your media player? This will handle 10bit 4k HEVC streams with ease I can't see the need for transcoding unless you're sending movies to a mobile device

    INTEL BRING THE BIG GUNS!

I personally feel that with the years of ripping off consumers that Intel has been doing and their poor 2-5% gains per generation, that people should vote with their wallets here and support AMD for helping break the trend and forcing Intel to improve.

    ALL My Data Recovered!

Often times "Data Recovery" is simply running Recuva or similar on the drive. Proper data recovery with the likes of Ontrack costs around a grand. Ideally a drive should be imaged and recovered from that rather than the actual drive. That's been my experience anyway. A full sector by sector...

** TELL US YOUR STORAGE NIGHTMARE STORIES ** WD COMPETITION

I had a 24TB array of 12 x 2TB WD drives, and had three drives fail at the same time, changing the entire RAID6 volume to RAW, and losing all my data (on an LSI Megaraid 9260-16i) Thankfully i had a backup of "most" of it (and all important stuff like family stuff) but i did feel like i was...

Wider chair alternative to Vertagear SL4000 ?

Hi I sit around 16 stone with quite big thighs from years of squats / gym The above chair is what i have currently, and it's far, far too narrow My thighs go past the edge of the seat, and i end up with bruises on the side of my thighs (God knows how small you have to be to fit into...
