Had no issues here either. I did replace the router in the end for a Belkin RT1800 to get openwrt. But the free router is decent enough.

Recommend good Ethernet cable testers that can measure length of a cable?

As already said, the cable should be metre marked and easy to work out the length. If it isnt it might not even be cat5/6, i've seen cw1308 used as data cable on some sites.

Must have jinxed myself as the daughter says the new WiFi is rubbish today (1 or 2 bars in places). To be fair I put the ont and router and different spot from virgins hub but I think the virgin hub managed to give better signal. It's a good excuse to get a unifi WiFi 6 ap at least.

I got the 500mb tier installed a few days ago after jumping ship from virgin and the hub5. Speed wise I got 500/500 straight away and the latency seems to be much better than virgin was. I was a little worried when I logged into the router and saw a CGNAT ipv4 wan address though but so far...

    COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Not really I dont think anyone cares anymore, but its the truth. The flu seems to be hitting hard this year for some and from my point of view those that have sheltered from the world seem to be getting hit hard.

What's the deal this winter if you don't have a booster jab? are you automatically in the anti Vax camp or does it not count this time?

I got banned from the covid section too. People lost their minds over the whole thing. The persecution was strong and worrying. BTW im still unjabbed and still not dead.

Yeah thats poor, im on 500 for £37 which wasnt even that great but thats all outbound retentions could offer.

This is getting ridiculous (energy prices - Strictly NO referrals!)

Has anyone found someone offering metering bypass services on facebook yet? im sure that will be quite popular soon. An unmetered socket or 2 for £100.

    30xx Series Founders Edition

I was having issues in warzone too, didnt see much of a boost from a 1070 to 3070. It seemed to resolve after I updated the bios to the new tomahawk one and set the memory timings again. Also clicked optimise on the geforce experiance then lowered a few settings to a more competitive setup. Not...

House builders still using Cat 5?

Exactly this I run cat5 in as part of my work and have never refered to it as cat5e in conversation. Its rare I run cat6 unless specified as it provides little to no benefit to the majority of people except certain types of IT guys. Funny thing is when you go back and see cat5 patch leads in the...

    1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Finally upgraded my x5660 today to a ryzen 3600 and 3600mhz ram, cant say windows is any faster. If any thing it doesnt feel as snappy somehow. Gaming wise im using a 1070 at 1440p and warzone seems to be a bit smoother in busy areas, possibly 3 or 4 extra fps. What a great rig the X58 xeon...

    RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

I didnt buy the 3600 at £150 a few months back as the new gen was coming, it turned out to be new con not a new gen. Bumping the price of the old processor to £200ish and way over pricing its replacement. Sorry but £290 for a 5600 is too rich for me.
