oh nice, I was just about to order one! - good thing I checked this thread first.
and I got an extra £15 off by signing up for Dell Rewards and using the free 1,500 points they give you!
So i've been offered a £45 discount on the monitor through my company account with Dell... problem is, from experience, when you order hardware through B2B you dont benefit from standsrd consumer rights such as the 14 day refund policy...
If i found a single dead pixel on this monitor i would...
thanks for your opinions :D
I'm also leaning towards the Alienware - I have bose speakers and a steelseries pro wireless headset so Audio is no concern for me (who uses monitor audio anyway?)
It sucks that the panel doesn't have HDMI 2.1 - so you can't benefit from the full 10bit 165hz... but...
Heya! - that thread is eye wateringly huge lol...
I'll try reading through it, but I'm still interested in people's top level thoughts and choice of these 4 ;D
Apologies if this has already been discussed (I didn't find a thread).
We have 4 different models of the new 34" Ultrawide QD-OLED monitors to choose from:
Alienware DWF - no HDMI 2.1 (meaning 8bit 165hz, or 10bit 144hz) no idea why 165hz instead of 175hz. - £880
Samsung G8 - Too expensive...
ASUS Armoury Crate doesn't seem to want to do it, I only have 1 option for addressables headers, either all or nothing... and if I deselect it, it just turns off. no effects at all :/
Think i'm going to have to connect that led strip to a separate controller.
Hello,
does anyone know if it's possible to set the colour profile for the RGB headers on ASUS motherboards separately?
for example, I want my DRGB 1+2 headers to have 1 colour scheme, lets say rainbowpuke.
and I want my 12vRGB header to have a static white colour.
does anyone know if this is...
I've started building my current Case/PC's final form - Phase 4, the final phase!
My next machine after this will probably use a new case, though I suspect I'll re-use a lot of the water cooling parts. (sorry for the blurry images, it was sometimes past midnight when I took these and I didn't...
oops did I not post a pic in here of the new ASUS 3090 STRIX OC? :p
I'm waiting for the new EKWB Waterblock to arrive for my 3090 in November and my new Alphacool NexXoS ST30 420 radiators and EKWB flat resevoir to arrive so I can rebuild my system into it's next version with a vertical...
I found that with the top cover pulled completely off, my Temps dropped significantly, the small holes on the sides and tiny slits near the rear just aren't good enough to allow all the hot air to flow outwards.
This is why I copied @Bone9 and cut the slits out making them large holes on the...
My top rad fans all push air out of the case. - I have tried them as intakes but wasn't sure if that was the best way because the heat exiting the rear would naturally rise upwards and probably get sucked back into the case from the top.
Hmm so my ASUS RTX 3090 STRIX OC is about to arrive soon (hopefully this week) - which means my case mod is about to enter it's 4th version!
I'm planning to replace the rads with 2x Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis GTS420 rads like @JayGee did to his case and redoing the pipework.
Along with...
Do I really need to answer that question? I think you already know the answer ;)
I also took your advice on cutting up the top panel to allow better exit airflow :D
