password whole website EXCEPT index file

Good plan! unfortunately apache seems to prioritise password over redirecting so it doesnt have the desired effect. config: <Directory /var/www> Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^$ index.html [L] <Files...

password whole website EXCEPT index file

Is it possible to get apache 1.3 to require valid user for the whole site (protect root directory) while allowing anonymous access to the index file still? I have managed it so that you can get to site.com/index.html fine (specifying the file to load), but simply going to site.com asks for...

recommend me a pair of WAPs to bridge

thank you for all the comments. I think I will opt for the wrt54gl x2 with dd-wrt mostly because it sounds like it will be more stable than a draft-n product. Are there any particular directional antennae to look out for or will any do?

recommend me a pair of WAPs to bridge

Configuring is not a problem, but its only 54g and from what I have read the range won't be as good as wireless n. Is there a reason why these would be better than the wireless n pair? the business will pay so cost is not hugely important.... thank you

recommend me a pair of WAPs to bridge

I need to connect a couple of PCs on a new network to our old office network from a building across the road. I can actually pick up wireless signal in the new office from a 54g AP across the road if I put my phone on the window sill so I'm guessing with a couple of new tech wireless boxes it...

    php delete confirm box

I have a table containing a triplist, which basically i want to be able to remove people from using a delete button. to avoid CSRF attacks i gather the best thing is to send the values to delete.php using a form. so at the moment, for each of the rows i have: echo "\t\t<form...
