I should be able to find that power connector but it's worth noting the 6800 LE card has no requirement for an extra power connector and would be less hassle. Is there any reason you recommended the 8800GT over the 6800 LE for this application?
Kind of looking for reassurance this will work. I have a GTX 460 (2 x DVI ports) which I used for 1) Main monitor. 2) My television as the second display.
I now want to use two monitors next to each other and the television as a third monitor. But the only 2 DVI connections are used...
I plunged and bought the 60GB for a boot drive. I know the technology will keep improving but I'll just keep circulating this drive around computers for the next few years. £1 per GB seems reasonable :P
Sound is a big issue for me mainly because my current 8800GT drives me crazy when on load. It's louder than most lawnmowers.
I'm tossing up between the Gigabyte & MSI versions. With the dual fans on the GB I'm leaning towards that. Is it quiet on load too? Should I disregard the MSI?
I thought that might be the case but I've never used a dedicated physix card before. How would I go about setting a similar configuration up? Is it purely drivers? Thanks for the advice.
Hey, I currently have a 8800GT and I'm thinking about buying the Gigabyte 460 (for the upgrade and sound reduction on load). I have a SLI compliant mobo, is that how you have the two cards set-up? I have no experience with it, or why you would have this set-up but it would be great if you could...
Hi there,
I built my system a while back now and I've been doing little bits of maintenance on my water cooling but nothing drastic. I have the LCS installed which comes with the Thermaltake Kandalf and I'm pretty sure it's time a complete clean up.
I've never drained my system before, so...
FYI, when I was looking for a new network card many people recommended to me that USB devices are worth looking into as you can 'orientate' them to a better level on your desk (rather than hidden on the floor), and you can direct them in a direction towards your router.
Using this information...
I use predictive text as the buttons have become too small to bother manually typing everything out now. I type fully with 90% of words however to fit messages into one text I often have words saved to the dictionary for convenience, it's definitely worth it. ppl - people, defo - definitely, tbh...
You missed the deal. You didn't take timezones into account it seems. It was extended for an extra period so you don't really have a leg to stand on, there was plenty of time and it was advertised in most places (including here!)
I really disliked SA and it's silly eating systems and rubbish gimmicky extras. Vice City had the perfect balance of better features, a good city, better weapons and fewer gimmicks. It looks dated now (GTA3 not much different from it), but a far better game. GTA3 had a great first island, I...
My 8800GT ran FC2 very nicely! Not top settings but I got a good 30-40 FPS. But yeah, I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't have questioned who this winner would have been.
