    the world has gone mad

Therein lies the issue with Twitter and the like, it has given idiots and attention-seeking gob***** an instant global platform to spread this nonsense and it never takes long to turn into full blown viral crusades against these perceived injustices. The post above that outs him as using the...

The increasing inability to actually contact customer services (not OcUK)

What gets on my nerves are companies that have about 20 minutes of IVRs and automated messages just to end up with "Did you know... You can find the answers to 90% of queries on our website. Goodbye!". Even the automated chat bots on the sites just want to send you to FAQ pages. If you're lucky...

    RIP Captain Tom

As tragic as this is, I don't think I'd be laying the blame on the NHS for "failing" to save a 100 year old man with pneumonia AND Covid. I'm sure they did everything they could.

How do you actually speak to someone at Hermes?

I had this issue before with a claim about a year ago, after a few days trying the only way I found to get through to a person was to use the "international deliveries" option on their IVR if I remember rightly. This connects you to a UK office. The guy I got was actually rather helpful much to...

Spec me a new vacuum cleaner, please!

I have sworn by Henrys for decades, mine from 1981 still works (just about). 2 years ago I caved in and bought a Shark, the difference is night and day. The Shark is so much easier for carpets as the brush nips at the carpet pile and easier to push round as they have a motor in the head that...

Can an employer ask to see test results?

This. We've had a number of these cases where I work. Two that work for me as well, absolutely nothing wrong with them whatsoever but they can pretty much get away with it "because covid". I won't forget.
