Can you download and install CPU-Z? http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html It will give motherboard and RAM info - post some screenshots. To find out about your power supply, you may have to open the case or read it off the back panel.

I don't think replacing the motherboard requires a fresh OS install. You will have to update some drivers, though. Even so, a clean install from boot shouldn't take more than an hour - well worth the effort! Think of it as colonic irrigation for your PC. OP, let us know the specs of the rest...
