300k is bad. I average 3.8mb if that. Unfortunately the wife doesn’t see the internet as a priority, however with fibre landing I’ll finally be able to play games sooner. .
Think I’ll be popping the kids off to bed early tonight. 5pms alright for that yeah?
Been looking forward to this one for a long time! Took 10 hours to download on my rubbish internet. Frustrating as the streets just had fibre installed but no go live date as yet! Will be firing up shortly. I may dispense with tradition and go with a different class from barbarian smashing...
I got one start of April to replace a 17 year old specialized hard rock pro. Great bike! Wasn’t sure about the 1x12 setup but after a fair few rides I’m sold. Changed the pedals and the handlebars for wider ones and it’s been great!
Every incident where a firearm is pointed at someone is investigated by an independent body, not discharged, but pointed. As technically when you point a firearm at someone you are in essence assaulting them. So scrutiny isn't an issue. Each incident should be investigated separately and...
These officers are trained to a high standard and the selection process is tough. These officers wouldn't have taken that decision lightly. The use of force is ultimately up the officer involved, no one makes that decision for them.
This was a spontaneous firearms incident and completely...
Correct, it is how they are trained, Im a AFO and have been for six years as part of a dedicated firearms unit. I'm actually flabbergasted people are criticising the police response.
Once they got all the civilians out of the way and it became evident he had a vest on, real or not they have a split second to react. It's easy to sit and dissect after the fact. So they don't take action and he blows himself up and takes out several civilians including the three officers then...
The Officers done very well, the second it was evident there was a suicide vest (fake of not, you can't tell that at the time) then the only option to prevent it is headshots, it's a recognised tactic. They have a duty of care to protect life, and if they have cause to believe someone is about...
I recently changed my 1 series for a mark 6 Golf GTI. Got one with the leather interior. Very nice place to be, no regrets buying it. Good fun if you want to hoon it and if you want to take your time I can get around 42mpg on the motorway.
I used to when I finished my last night shift, however if you do plan to sleep after it remember you'll wake up every hour or so for a pee. I ditched the idea of it years ago. Much prefer an uninterrupted sleep!
You'd need to ask an American cop that. I'm not familiar with their training or operating procedures. America has a gun culture, I'm not really sure comparing British policing to American is really justified.
The training would need to be approved by the governing body who dictates all police firearms training. A program would be developed and delivered across the whole country and it would be rigourous. Instructors have to justify their decision in passing you competent to carry a firearm. I'm up...
You volunteer to carry one. Have to pass a stringent paper sift and your record is scrutinised to the nth degree. Then you need to sit and pass a 8 week course of which you are continually assessed.
I think given the way the country it is then taser is a good option for officers, even if its...
I'm firearms trained, it doesn't make me reckless. If anything the training i've received has made me more perceptive to the potential threat level and options available. I'm not militarised either. The bosses are very careful in how we present ourselves to make sure we don't come across as...
Its a less lethal option that can and will be deployed in firearms situations. However it does not take the place of a conventional firearm, i.e. there will always be a conventional firearm at the ready if a taser is drawn in a firearms situation.
The threat is there, I think its a good idea. Being taser trained its just another option. The best thing you have (as any copper will tell you) is your ability to communicate. However if someone is hell bent on doing you harm when you trying to do your job you want to be the best equipped...
I used to go out in Glasgow every weekend for years. Never once had any bother. I'd suggest if you go to Glasgow you stick to the more civilised pubs and clubs. It does make for a good night out.
