It seems to effect performance doing that. With the Ryzen Balanced plan sitting at around 1.4-1.5V idle my max clock under load is 4.375MHz With the 85% Windows balanced plan,it sits around 0.9-1V idle but the max clock under load seems to be 4.225MHz

Mine is the same, completely stock and the only thing I've done in the bios is enable XMP and set some fan curves. Just checked the Balanced Power plan and the minimum usage is 0% which is a shame as I was hoping that was the problem as it would've been a nice quick fix :P

I notice this board has an 8pin power with an additional 4 pin aswell. I'm sure I remember buildzoid saying you don't need the extra 4 pin for general use so I didn't bother plugging that in, does anyone know if that will cause problems or am I good with just the 8pin?

I think I'll probably end up going with whoever releases the partner boards the soonest out of the 2070 super and the 5700xt. I'm a little too impatient to wait for the 2080 supers unfortunately and may even just go for the regular 2070 super if the partners are going to be a while away.

I'm actually thinking of doing the same thing. 980ti to either the 2070 super, 5700XT or wait a bit longer and see what the 2080 Super and 2080 Super TI bring. Just waiting on a few benchmarks today to see if they shed any more light on performance differences.

Do you happen to have an air cooler you recommend with this ram at all? (with the spreader still attached). Also, how likely would it be to be able to overclock 4x8gb modules to the 3733 sweetspot that Zen 2 supposedly has? (on an x570 board naturally)

When you say the Asus is the slowest, how much slower is it? Are we talking marginal 1-2% or is it quite a bit slower?
