indeed no rain for months now - been watering it around twice a week but last couple of days everyday as going to France tomorrow for a week so trying to make sure it has water while away (have nightmares of coming back and the lawn is all dead lol)
Here's a progress update - have done a couple cuts at 6cm and this is after my ideal 5cm cut - looking and feeling much better - 80% there and will do the same next Spring
Yeah only mow close in order to prep for scarifying/seeding as it really shocks the existing grass
Otherwise when mowing, never cut more than a third off at a time until you get to your desired length (mine is 5 cm ideally but due to my uneven lawn, it scalps off on high bits and leaves too...
@Buffman, I'm not a pro just notes of what I read as I want to do a semi good job at it, I got the EverGreen Scotts EasyGreen Rotary spreader = £60
Honestly it's awesome and makes short work of laying the stuff down (think 10 minutes), which helps with a large lawn! With just a drop spreader...
This is literally my mission this year too - did a lot yesterday in fact.
Got a very bumpy uneven lawn 400sqm, with mounds and troughs (mounds to tackle much later for now)
I've collated information from various sources along with my diary below - maybe it's helpful to you - due to a wet April...
HAHA I totally forgot about that as I have sigs disabled to reduce clutter reading the forum but just seen it now - still a legend sig thanks very much :)
It will be both - I'm not looking to upgrade properly for another 10 years so I'm trying to find a system with longevity without breaking the bank and also that looks good in white
Looking out for the RTX 3080 FE too (just a bit annoyed it will break the white theme but it seems well priced)
I've been out of the hardware game for years but after reading reviews I've specced up a white system (with light blue RGB theme)
Just looking for thoughts really please - budget is £2.5k max and looking to purchase in around 3 months when funds allow
Case = Lian Li lancool iii White
AIO =...
Throwing another into the mix
I use 'XE' monthly to send my folks in South Africa some money to contribute towards their live in carers - exchange rates and fees appear to be on par with Azimo it seems.
Bear in mind the receiving bank may also charge a fee - my folks bank charge/take off R100...
I literally put this up yesterday (new Nest battery doorbell - on battery) and haven't yet seen any evidence of this
It overlooks my driveway about 2 cars long and activates when someone is about 1 car away every time.
Earlier my wife took the bins out to the end of the driveway - it captured...
I was also researching battery video doorbells and the Eufy was top of my list until...
Google just released a new Nest Doorbell battery cam which seems good but need to pay for more than 3 hours of video storage which hopefully should be ok for our needs on the free option - gets delivered...
Update:
I fixed the issue of no sound from TV native apps - I had 'TV' hidden as a source on my receiver so unhid 'TV' and sound works from Netflix etc (derrr obviously! because now the TV is a source and was different to my setup before)
I've resolved the problem of controlling both SkyQ and the receiver using the LG remote by within universal control setting HDMI 2 to set top box then TV sound output to Denon (This is because I was a div and didn't connect to eARC HDMI2 initially as the TV was already mounted on the wall so...
