We are only a 1 car household and just changed to a megane e tech.
One I wanted it and it's a new toy
Two I can charge for free at work and certainly beats spending £250 a month in petrol.
So to me it makes financial sense in the long run as I was changing over from a 2010 VW Scirocco that...
30kwh is impressive, what size system is that on.
Ideally I'm thinking if I had a system that produces 2kwh average (so working on a 4kwh system accounting for losses/not south facing) I'd end up with 1kwh to use and 1 to store so probably would need 10kwh or more of storage to get me through a...
I'd say it's pretty spread out through the day/night
The Fiance has a couple of snakes so heat bulbs and UV ect run most of the day probably drawing 400w plus the general household stuff probably gets my average hourly draw at 600w an hour
Then the rest can probably be attributed to higher...
I've been looking over this thread for a few days and doing research on all solar/battery systems but generally confused on what is my best option to go with so I thought I'd consult the collective knowledge
Currently I have high utility bills which are likely to be even higher as of next...
Ha I've been there, one patch of blown plaster and the more I picked at it the bigger the patch got.
In the end I just called it quits and called the experts, I've learn when to swallow my pride and empty my wallet haha
The idea of claiming you're a bit of a perfectionist and then saying you will try to skim yourself to save money just doesn't match
Plastering is one of those that you only get perfect with practice so I'd be very surprised if a novice would even reach the level of perfection that your aiming...
Might be a bit far for them as they're Birmingham based but I had fencing from https://www.sheldonfencing.uk/
I had a very reasonable quote off them a few years ago for 11 bays around £1000 fitted but ended up going the DIY route
Had 11 bays of 4 foot feather edge and concrete posts/gravel...
Yup that's where my setting is.
I'm with Three so it seems to be network dependent
Either way I'm not 14 hours off charger with 2 hours SOT and only down to 72% so huge improvement
Touch wood I seem to have sorted my battery drain issues.
I changed the preferred network from 5g to 4g and now ive gone from roughly 5% an hour to 1% an hour as of today
Hopefully it holds up but wanted to report back incase anyone else had these issues
I'd be happy if I could sort this battery drain issue out. I'm currently at a loss on what's going on

There's something using battery on this thing but no idea what.
Almost tempted to send it back at this point
No I've seen that info online
As I said literally had a fresh install with only Gapps installed
I would put it down to signal. But I have this issue at work and at home (I live in Birmingham too so not the sticks)
Also all previous phones had no issue :/
I have actually tried this once and didn't even restore any apps other than what comes pre loaded.
If I stick it in airplane mode and have WiFi/Bluetooth only its way better. 3 hours off charge this morning and 1 hour SOT and down to 93%
I would normally assume poor signal but I'm getting...
I feel like I'm the only person who gets bad battery life on this phone
Down to 20% with 3 hours screen on time today. When I use it battery lasts ages but I'm getting awful standby drain
I changed all the radiators in my house
Job is pretty easy in itself but I only put new pipework from the existing mains loop as I upgraded it from 8mm to 15mm.
I used compression fittings rather than soldering but there are now plastic push fit alternatives that are commonplace
I just...
Yup I started last year and literally jumped in feet first
Went all grain and kegs, Co2 and Keezers - Cost a fair bit in the set up but im more of a buy once expensive than twice cheap kind of guy :')
