Have there been any restocks of the 4090FE in the last few months? I'd like a second but feels like they're almost EOL or something.

This is only the front panel USB-C header. I don't believe there's more than one on this board? All of the rear ports work fine. Unless I'm misunderstanding your suggestion. I'll likely just get a hub and plug it into the rear if I want easier desk access to a USB-C port.

The best thing I can say about this Embody is that I barely notice it at all. I set it up, once, and I sit in a slight recline as suggested. I can go hours upon hours without thinking about what I'm sat in, or having any discomfort, and I get up from it without feeling like a creaky mess.

I just tried to load 3dmark out of curiosity (I have enforce limits enabled + Adaptive boost on) and the package power only peaked at 178w, so enforcing limits likely isn't doing anything in this scenario as the limit is 253w. My hottest P Core hit 79C during the system scan, average probably...

You're absolutely right, and honestly I suggest the 14900k more to head off that almost inevitable itch some people get when they know they don't have the biggest number. I also get the feeling from the OP that the productivity tasks are for hobby and not work, which would further support going...

I'd second this. Though if you can stretch, and if you intend to keep this machine a while, I'd seriously consider just getting the 14900k. You won't be able to upgrade anything on the socket anyway so put the best chip in it and call it a day.

One of my very first proper MTBs too. It was a wreck when I bought it - IIRC (Going back 20 years now) I took it into Orange and they did a full respray and sticker job on it. Came back an immaculate matte black. Really sad news, but also not surprising if they never moved on from that design.

If you can fit one in your case the Arctic Liquid Freezer 420 will run incredibly quiet for a broad range of use cases. Big fans, big radiator.
