    SSD and windows 7 Migration

Hi Fellas, not been around for a while so bit out of touch. I currently run a Win7 64bit q6600 sys on a 320gb spinpoint, and like many am interested in faster boot up times. I am curious is there a way to migrate the Op sys to the ssd with out a complete reinstall or do i have to suck the...

P5n-e SLI + [email protected] Overclocking help

the increments would be 1.415 then perhaps 1.430 and so on you don't need such a big jump in voltage. You will be presented with options in the bios for these voltages. Good luck

P5n-e SLI + [email protected] Overclocking help

You'll find that it isn't a one size fits all with overclocking, you need to tinker to get results. For instance increase the fsb by 5-10 mhz (in jumber free configuration), save then stability test. If that's ok save and repeat. When it starts bsod or not post add a little vcore voltage (just 1...

    Should i update my BIOS?

I think it is a good idea to update the bios as new versions address known problems with old bioses. They can release the full potential of the motherboard by adding new features. Make sure you back up the old one before flashing the new one. Cal.

    is this normal? 9550 overclock

On my Asus board speedstep is only available when you set the cpu ratio control to auto, where you can either enable or disable it and is located in the cpu configuration menu of the bios.

    is this normal? 9550 overclock

Is this underload? As speedstep if active will turn down the multiplier and drop your overall speed when your doing low intensity stuff ie surfing, word processing and the likes. This is a powersaving part of the bios.

    Motherboard temps?

I think this may be the answer if any one would like to second it? http://tiny.cc/QxDmF Apparently the motherboard sensor is located next to the vrm's at the top of the memory slots. So they are read differently and asus recommends keeping the temps between 0-65 degrees c. Phew Regards Cal.

    Motherboard temps?

Hi Guys, I have the asus p5k premium (black pearl edition) that i've recently paired up with the corsair H50 water cooling unit. I currently have my Q6600 @ 3.328 with idles of 35c and load temps of 68c using linpack (prime95 is 10c lower). What i have noticed is the motherboard temp seems...

    Corsair H50 Questions

I have a H50 fitted in P182 with no issue fitting it at all. The only problem i found was the overall mb temp went up. I remedied this with a couple of spot fans i had. I also used the fan i took off the back and put it in the front to vent the warm air. My Q6600 is overclocked to 3.4ghz at the...

Owners views on how loud the H50 pump is?

I have had my h50 installed for a week now, and the loudest noise I have is the top exhausting fan on the case which is an antec P182. Can't hear it at all.

    How quiet?

Ok i appreciate that with my q6600 it may be luck of the draw (fingers crossed it is a gud'un) but any idea how noisy is the H50? I could purchase the TRUE or titan fenrir and maybe get a good overclock but it's the noise when it winds up that i need to eliminate, if only for my own sanity...

    How quiet?

Looking to buy the Corsair H50 for my q6600. Currently using the arctic pro 7 to cool it, but tbh the temps are a bit high and the noise when it revs up is just to noisy. Am convinced can get it beyond 3.6 ghz if i can control the temps, but liked to do it with out the noise. oh yeah...

    Tuniq tower V's ac7 pro

I have been tinkering quite a bit today to see i f i can get to 3.6Ghz on my Q6600 with little success. I have a few thing against me like a VID of 1.3250 and a third core that keeps giving me a rounding off error after 30mins of prime95. Now i got up to 3.25Ghz using a Vcore of 1.41...

    Im Scared

I've been looking in to the the ole T-junction max recently and the temps that are given are educated guesses at best. Intel did not release the info for it's desktop processors just the ones for the lappy's. Coretemp and everest seem to show the same T-junction max where as Realtemp is set 5c...
