    The Radeon VII Owners Thread

I think much more than 110c and they start to throttle back, someone with more knowledge would be able to confirm the actual temp but it was circa 115c from memory. Are you running stock clocks? If so, do what Jenny suggests and undervolt. Mine did 980mv and when I was on air not only did it...

Nvidia Broadcast issue - stream stopping when anything interrupts the game

Hi, recently moved from Red team to Team green and trying to get my broadcast to twitch set up and working properly. I've linked the account, and ticked record desktop in privacy settings and the stream starts and runs ok when i start it in game. However, if anything external interrupts the...

    The AMD Driver Thread

Yeah, most tvs have the option to disable overscan in the menus. This was a naff old set that I cannibalised the panel and control board from for the build. Nothing in the menus. To be fair, HDMI scaling at 4% makes it fit perfect, just caps the fps to 30. Rubbish for gaming lol. Might be able...

    The AMD Driver Thread

Me too to be fair on my main rig, except RIS. Quite like that one :) the HDMI scaling issue is on a 1080p briefcase build i did to take with me when I'm working away. Used an old 21.5in tv I had lying around but with the HDMI connection it overscans with no option on the TV menu to stop it...

    The AMD Driver Thread

This hdmi scaling issue is taking the mick now. I appreciate it probably affects few but even so, if you are one of the few it affects its a pain in the arse to see it passed over on every release

    The AMD Driver Thread

Is it likely that the issue with hdmi scaling locking the fps to 30 will be solved anytime soon? Wasn't aware of it until I experienced the issue with an old TV I'm using in a build which overscans the hdmi image. Bought a rx 580 which is a great card but not if its stuck at 30 fps....

Thanks chaps, good to know. Shan't lose any sleep over it then :)

3600x hitting 82c on custom loop

So, just moved from a 1600 to a 3600x and gone from seeing max temps circa 65ish for the 1600 in Prime95, am seeing it quickly reach 75c with just the Prime95 small fft test running, and top out at 82c with both the FFT test running and Heaven looping on Extreme pre-set. Running a custom loop...

    The Radeon VII Owners Thread

Hi All, need your collective advice please. Done a fresh install of win 10 alongside core upgrade and need to reapply the regeit for EvenmorePower for my MPT OC. Because I tested everything with a 750ti before sorting the vii in to the loop, I have the 750ti as 0000 in the registry, the vii is...

E-ATX motherboard in a Lian Li pc-o11 dynamic

Thanks mate. Have you got the same case and an eatx mobo then?

E-ATX motherboard in a Lian Li pc-o11 dynamic

Thanks chaps. Managed to find the dimensions of the Asus crosshair Extreme vi in the end and the width was 26.9cm. Can't easily measure inside the case with the tubes and whatnot but also managed to find the dimensions for the ek waterblock on the graphics card which is 28.6cm, the block...

E-ATX motherboard in a Lian Li pc-o11 dynamic

Hi all, wasn't sure whether this was a motherboard or case question so put it in here instead. I currently have a mATX board in PC-o11 dynamic and have seen a great deal on a EATX board which I'm keen on. I currently have a 360 rad mounted in the tray and am concerned given the extra width...

PCIe 4 support on Asus TUF b450m Pro

All very valid points. I do little else with my rig other than play games. Perhaps I'll rethink my upgrade plan then and focus on maximising the use age of what I have got. Maybe a faster NVMe m.2 drive perhaps. My current boot drive is an old 128gb mSata drive in a Sata enclosure as when I went...

PCIe 4 support on Asus TUF b450m Pro

Fair enough, I think it was just more of a 'nice to have' if it was available for free so to speak.

PCIe 4 support on Asus TUF b450m Pro

How so? I was under the impression the PCIe 4 ssds were hitting around 5,000MB/s? Still a bit of a jump on the current 3500MB/s isn't it? I suppose either way, a faster m.2 drive would be an upgrade on my current one which sports speeds of up to 1300MB/s but I thought I might as well take...

PCIe 4 support on Asus TUF b450m Pro

Last year, there were articles floating around that some Asus B450 and x470 boards could and would support PCIe 4 on either the main PCIe gfx slot and /or m.2. I know that the TUF B450m pro was one of them and appreciate that more recent bios updates have now removed this support. My question...

PC freezing for a few seconds every minute or so... any ideas?

Give it a go mate. It literally drove me mad trying g to diagnose it lol! In the end its why I ended up using afterburner for my STRIX 1070 I had at the time.

PC freezing for a few seconds every minute or so... any ideas?

I had a similar issue a while ago with stuttering every few seconds. After a LOT of messing about I traced it back to the OSD in GPU tweak.... Try disabling all monitoring software such as the above, or afterburner etc and see if it persists.
