Images of items I have purchased (except trainers)

Not an easy book to get a copy of nowadays. I looked recently after hearing Al Murray read it on early episodes of the 'We have ways' podcast and it couldn't find a copy <£70

Freeman of the Land / Bonkers Theories

Watched this recently unrelated to this thread and thought it was great!

    'communicae' ?

I would maybe worry about getting the basics right before tackling the complicated stuff.

    Factorio or Rimworld?

One for the "men of culture" by the look of things? I daren't play Factorio because of how horribly addicted some friends got, but love Rimworld and have completed 3 full runs and thinking about another.

    ROG XG43VQ or AOC cu34g2x

I was looking into the Asus 43" monitors recently and decided the PG43 was the better of the two, apparently the XG43 has a lot of problems with smearing and text clarity. These problems are still there to some extent in the PG43 but not as bad. In the end I found I couldn't fit a 43" so went...

    LG 38GN950-B

Aye that's the plan for tomorrow, I'm off at the moment so just fell lucky. DPD can't break it if they don't touch it :) The box didn't look too bad, just a little snag on the bottom where it's caught on something, but not near the screen.

    LG 38GN950-B

I seriously need to have a word with the DPD delivery people around here... first I ordered a LG 38WN95C from OC and was lucky to get one in a very early batch which arrived with a smashed screen, then the 38GN950 ordered from elsewhere (after cancelling OC pre-order) also arrived with a smashed...

    LG 38GN950-B

I think that's true, one of the additional selling points of the LG 38WN95C - think it was mentioned in either this thread or the thread for the that monitor. Anyone else have this monitor (38GN950-B) pre-ordered with OC? The expected date came and went again yesterday with no news... Anyone...

Careful if you see money on the floor & pick it up.

Well no... the goods are obviously owned by the shop, the money is less likely to be. I would keep it, since the chance of finding the legitimate owner is low if you hadn't seen where it had come from. There are very few options to actually get it back to it's rightful owner.

    Two motorway driving queries

I tend to go by a 30 second rule when changing lanes - if I estimate I would have to move back out within 30 seconds of moving into a "slower" lane then I stay where I am until passing whatever would have held me up. Seems to be about the right balance.

    spec me a wallet

I have the wallet from your OP, except without the horrible logo. It's OK, but I wouldn't buy another - overall impressions: Cards don't sit in it very well, the lower slots are effectively useless as more than half the card is poking out. I have 2 x cards in some of the slots, that works...

Guys - What fragrance/aftershave/whatever do you wear?

Got in pretty late last night and smelled perfume around the house when I woke up, asked my house mate if he had a lady over but it turns out he'd just applied some David Beckham aftershave from a gift set. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend it for a man!

OcUK Room 101 - Dump your petty hates here.

People who put their indicator on to pull into your lane as you're coming up to pass them. Seriously it's mirror, signal, manoeuvre - if you indicate as I'm coming to pass you I have to presume you may or may not have looked in your mirror and either way haven't seen me coming. Therefore I...

    HID Kit - Flickering

I have a 35w kit (was installed by the previous owner) and used to have a flickering bulb. In the end the bulb went after about 6 months so I replaced it with a decent bulb and that solved the problem.

    Ban eBay threads?

I say keep them! They are sometimes quite interesting to read, but can sometimes be a bit of a chore if the issue is really obscure or the OP can't use sentences.

single folks how much does it cost you to live

Live with friends: Rent £250 Bills inc Council Tax & Internet £100 Petrol £180 Food £200+ (my Achilles heel is takeaway pizza!) Just realised - not tehnically single but we've had to go long distance (London - Newcastle) because of jobs so most of my disposable income goes on that.
