The one I eyed up was the r5 3600 (non x) at 165 quid, for its 6 cores at the lowest price then overclock it. A faster gpu is probably be more of a benifit tbh

could be some random ram timing issue, but yeah if memtest spits out error, then its a settings issue or dud stick, and u shouldnt run stuff till it fixed

to me the "new" sound stuff, haptic feedback, sound is more interesting than just raw performance..

the one in the box with cpu has a torque rating, which is kinda important i guess? so worth looking on fleabay for a proper one

actually to me the biggest game changers are the game swapping speed and the old games getting upscaling and hdr. the apu was a monolithic die wasnt it? so thatll be expensive, the 1tb ssd will be expensive, the ram will be expensive...

If you have the original thermal pads for the ram and stuff it should be fine to re use them, I think its the gpu paste that can age and decline in performance.

just noticed you went around the card with the zip tie? thats another possible issue, i ziptied just to the heatsink and heatpipes, you might be affected your gpu to heatsink contact or something...

repaste the gpu to heatsink paste, thats almost certainly your issue. my dads r390 i repasted and stuck those same artic cooling fans on, and dropped like 20c easily (and not pushing max rpm either. if you have a backplate and a thermal pad, you can put one on the rear of the card to get heat...

think we need to wait really to see how the hype matches reality, and the specs are impressive, but its not a cheap spec list is it? so it may well be pricey
