SKY SR203 Modem. Router HUB replacement

Going through this myself at the moment. Been looking at consumer devices really and so far I’ve discovered that it’s pot luck whether a Netgear or TP Link router supports this and ASUS only seems to support it using the open source firmware. Pretty insane really when you consider the price...

How much was the base spec 14” before? It’s now £2,149

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Anyone got any recommendations on who/where to get a quote from? Had one place want to give me a two hour appointment  sounds like a hard sales pitch which I just can’t be bothered with. All I want for now is the specs of the equipment and the cost so I can start comparing them…

Anyone here got a Ford Puma??

Interesting, just looked at the DBX and whilst it looks better than the Puma (particularly the headlights) it still doesn’t look good overall to me :)

People think it looks good? Must just be me that thinks the front doesn’t look right

BBC News HD no longer available on Freeview from 30th June 2022

What’s crazy is we should have everything on HD and that be the base line, whilst looking forward to 4K. But instead we’re dropping things back down to SD . Watched Euro 2020 in 4K on iPlayer and it was great. Winds me up as well that Sky/Nowtv charge extra for HD, HD really should be...

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Perfectly fine IMO. I don’t game though but I do work from home and only had one outage to do with DNS, which is really a Sky service problem than the router itself. Did have a small issue with one device that would disconnect for no reason but after I moved everything to static IPs it hasn’t...

This is still “broken” but doesn’t seem to be showing in the first post of issues. Thanks to everyone who’s working hard on this update :).

Not sure if posted already, but page numbers are not visible when viewing on mobile in portrait view when looking at a sub forum. They show up when you switch to landscape but I do all my lurking in portrait mode…

Try the “magic” link https://www.bt.com/campaign/full-fibre-240 . My address shows a discount on here but not on the general deals page. I’ve been on Sky FTTP for a year now and it’s been fine, only issue was some sort of DNS outage a few months back but other than it it’s fine.

Just checking in to say I had my first full day using it today. Tomorrow I’ll take a couple of pictures and post some more thoughts on it. So far I’ve only used it for work, not had any time for games yet. The display so far seems really nice, just trying to think back to the IPS displays back...

Well it arrived this morning but I’ve had no time to even unbox it, let alone fire it up. Will let you know my thoughts once I’ve been able to use it. Initial thought from the box, I wonder if I could have gone bigger, like 38” maybe. Will see how I feel once it’s on a desk.

Yeah my gaming days are gone but I’m hoping maybe I can squeeze in the odd hour here or there. I used to game fine at 60hz to be fair, I’m more interested in having a buttery smooth UI. I did order the LG 35WN75C in the end so will let you know how I get on.

I believe it should be enough to do this, you’ll only really need Thunderbolt if running external hard drives off it. It would only be an issue if you’re maxing out the load on the laptop, for regular usage it should be fine. I’d prefer to have the 90W+ PD because that would allow me to run a...

Haha yes I saw that video too, shame no one else has done something a bit more in depth. It does seem OK from the video but I guess won’t know for sure until I see it in real life. I believe the advantage of Thunderbolt 3 over regular USB-C is speed/bandwidth, so it can push more data quicker...
