***The Official Sony Xperia Z Thread ***

Have to laugh at the number of headphones on Ebay, last week there were 5 , now there are are hundreds, lots hoping to get £ 200, with 1 bid of £ 100 between them. Very happy so far but I wish the back was rubber not glass I am not used to cleaning off so many fingerprints. Camera zoom is...

***The Official Sony Xperia Z Thread ***

Amazon has delayed delivery until Monday for my pre order :( Anyone with the charger think it could be used as a car mount if stuck to the top of the dashboard ? That and a NFC tag could make it using the phone in the car quick and easy. I am keen to find out about Mirrorlinking and...

***The Official Sony Xperia Z Thread ***

I reckon the value of a pair of pre owned , never used headphones will plummet to £ 50 today, so I am keeping my pre order from Amazon at £ 499 with £ 50 of vouchers. I have always used screen protectors on everything, but I wonder if this new Dragontail glass needs them ? Anyone any ideas ...

Best ITX CPU cooler available in UK

I put a Scythe mini shuriken in a SG06 , it just needed the ends of the 3 copper pipes cutting off, they overhang the PCI slot. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-027-SY&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=2350

    3 New Monitors for Programming

I bought 3 Iiyama 1920*1080 monitors and had to get rid of them. I bought 3 Dells 1920* 1200 instead. My desktop looked way too long and thin on them and now its perfect. If you look hard enough you will find Dell 2412 close to your budget. If youre going to look at them all day you want to be...

    Case for Dual Loop Setup?

You can comfortably fit 2 * 360 rads and keep all the drive bays in a Corsiar 800D. I've run mine very quietly for a couple of years with a single pump and 6 low speed fans running off a fan controller. I have just moved over to a mini case for a change though, so my 800D is gathering dust atm :)

Advice please! h80 and elite 120 build?

hi, I think you can just use a full size ODD in the 120 case, if you use a slimline it will leave you a gap to fill. Shop a round for the motherboard and save a bit, or what about the gygabyte Z77 one ?( I have an Asrock Z68 and its great though , also same SSD)

My lovely LP single slot HD6670 :)

looks like it has the same dvi and hdmi output as the 6570. I had to cobble together something to get a single vga output for an old monitor... so it looks like I will have to wait a while longer and see if a 7670 comes out !

** WATERCOOLING IN SMALL SPACES JUST GOT INTERESTING **

hmm, i will be interested to see how many watts they can dissipate, the 18 watt laing pump was the noisiest part of my system, when I tried a 10 watt laing the temps crept up, I wonder how this will do at only 2watt. Look forward to seeing it in action and a noise report

    PicoPSUs

a few people (like me ) have old monitor or laptop bricks lying around so they dont need to lay out on one, but I found out none of the ones I had were 12 volt so I had to buy a brick and pay postage, I also burnt out the first one I bought that was only 60 watt. but in the end its worth it !

Some new cases for your perusal

the website says wesena aswell so they must belong to the same parent company.. I would be tempted by the FC08..if I hadnt just bought a wesena. the only difference seems to be the ODD eject position and the price.

    Graphics cards for Mini-ITX?

it makes a tv card a pain to fit, so thats why I went for the wesena. The thermal image above is a hybrid taken to show what the case cooling is like, aside from a few hot spots, its pretty good at 4.5ghz

    Graphics cards for Mini-ITX?

well I bought one of those perspex cases I was going to add a gpu on a riser rail, but it never really worked so I bought a SG06 but I didnt like the build quality and have just put it into a wesena 7 and I am happy at last !

    £600 New Laptop

5470 is 193rd place here. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html 540m is 98th So maybe live with the ASUS for the better card, although USB3 isnt crucial.I would test the screen and decide if you are happy with it.
