how close were you measuring from the console?

with Valhalla running, i’m getting 34db a couple of feet away, 32db about 2 metres away, and between 42db and 47db at various points around the console. With the ps5 turned off I get 28db in the room. should say measured on my phone, so not sure how accurate.

Mine isn’t great either, and I can certainly hear it clearly a few feet away, even when just on the Home Screen. I’m pretty sure the noise isn’t as intended. Hard to know without comparing to another console though. I suspect I’ll try and get mine replaced at some point by Sony.

Mine was stuck at Worcester depot but I just got an out for delivery notification a few minutes ago, so you should be ok.

Yes, my fans are certainly running louder, but I wouldn't say 'like crazy'. I've not had a chance to play around with the settings to investigate although Blizzard added new graphics upgrades in this patch so maybe some of these are enabled by default if you've selected ultra.
