    Staples's 'Kashmir' Managers Chair

I bought mine at some point in late 2009. I went into staples needing a new chair, intending to spend around £50, but as soon as I sat in the Kashmir, I knew I had to have it, it was ~£130 iirc. The padding isn't what it used to be, the paint on the arms has flaked in many places, most of the...

    Show Us Your Motors!

This is my MG ZT 190+ which I bought for £770 in January as I fancied something larger and more powerful than my old 1.6 Focus. I've done around 7000 miles in it since January, and it's been quite good actually. It's an utter shed in terms of condition and has its fair share of little problems...

** DUCKY SHINE III IN STOCK AT OVERCLOCKERS UK **

I already own 2 mechanical keyboards, a Cherry G80 with blue switches which I use at work, and a QPAD MK-80 for home. I really don't need a 3rd, but I do also really like the look of those white LEDs...

    Nexus 7 Removable Storage

Not sure if I'm allowed to ask this, but assume I can since OCUK don't sell them, but which places do you think I'll be most likely to be able to pick one up instore on Friday?

    Nexus 7 Removable Storage

I think I've kinda decided to get one... At £199 it's worth a punt. I need it to be guaranteed to get to me by Friday (as I'm away the following Monday) and most online stores are non specific about whether they actually HAVE stock to send, or are just waiting for it, so I think I'll try to get...

    Nexus 7 Removable Storage

It's a bit annoying tbh. I know they're pushing the whole cloud thing, but I'd prefer to have a nice amount of media stored on an actual device, rather than relying on an internet connection. I might get one anyway (most likely from a shop, as I think they're supposed to be out Friday, and...

    Nexus 7 Removable Storage

I'm currently thinking about getting a tablet computer. I've practically discounted the ipad now, as a lot of the time I'd be wanting to use it out of a WiFi zone to watch TV shows etc which I've downloaded, and with just 16gb inbuilt storage, there's not a lot of flexibility on that front (I...

Spec Me: £5000, 50,000 miles PA, Large Boot Space

How about something like this? The honda 2.2 Diesel is a nice engine and should give pretty decent economy, not sure what reliability is like but Honda are usually good...

    Running Costs Question

I'd recommend her a Mk1 1.6 Focus. For 1200 you should be able to get a very good 2000 model or a slightly rougher, up to 2002 model. I've had mine for about a year and there's really nothing that I can complain about. The fuel economy is great, it's not particularly slow, parts are readily...

    Daughters passed her driving test....

I'm an 18 yr old male and I got insured fully comp (but with a relatively large excess) on my 1.6 Focus last June for 950 pounds with Admiral. It's doable, you just have to phone around.

RENAULT Clio 1.5 Dci 80 - any good?

I can personally vouch for the Mk1 1.6 Focus. It's a small enough engine to get good fuel economy and large enough to not be useless on the motorway. I do a 30 mile commute (15 each way to save any confusion) which is a mix of dual carriageway and town and if I drive like a nun I get around...

Anyone else get their foot caught when using the clutch?

I'm 6'2" and size 11-12 shoes and I've had this problem with some cars. Luckily I don't have this problem with my Focus :)

    Your Attainable Dream Car?

I really fancy an Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 at the moment. I'm seriously considering buying one at some point (probably not until I have at least 2 years NCB) but the reliability scares me a bit, although someone told me the V6 ones were actually fantastic engines and nowhere near as unreliable as...

Has anyone had a pc that just 'works'?

My Phenom II rig worked perfectly up until the point the motherboard suddenly broke :( Having my new one delivered in a couple of days (faulty under warranty, but I could only get a replacement of the same board) but I will never quite trust that same board again :(

All young drivers post your insurance prices here !!!

19 (but took the policy out when I was 18) at a relatively decent postcode, no NCB, fully comp with Admiral on a 10 year old 1.6 Focus for about £950.

    Focus - 1.6 and 2.0 OK engines?

I've driven my Mk1 Focus 1.6 with 4 people and a boot full of luggage and it's absolutely fine. It's a bit sluggish pulling away from lights when loaded this much, but after that it's absolutely fine.

One thing to note is that they might not be too happy about having a GB sticker stuck on their hire car :p Better off with a magnetic jobby.
