AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU Burns Up

Been running Expo (Corsair Vengeance RGB 6000 CAS36) on my 7900X in Asus Hero since day one (October) so little concerned over the reports. I've updated the bios to 1202 and manually set the SoC voltage to 1.2 based on recommendations, left Expo on for now..... It's worth noting I have to back...

    Fan silencing a 32GQ950-B

Mine is due to arrive Thursday, TBH I didn't realise it actually had active cooling, so this is a little worrying. My usage will be 60/40 productivity/gaming as I work from home so I hope the fan isn't too bad, I'll be trying the service menu trick if it is. (how do you get into the service...

Fans ramping with 5800X under water

Add a temperature sensor into the loop to monitor the water temperature then create a fan curve based off that. My water will go from 21c from boot and hits max around 33c while playing a game. I set the fans to idle at 30% then they ramp up another 20% when the temp goes over 30c, that's...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

This is getting a bit ridiculous, its now been delayed for the 7th day running. Might as well go pick it up from the depot myself, but of course you can't do that. Can't seem to contact DPD either their text chats all say unavailable and the call number on the site just goes through to some...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Don't know what DPD are playing at but getting slightly worried someone's nabbed my 4090 FE at the depot. Even the water block I ordered on Saturday has arrived faster then it, and that was DPD too.

Clear your cookies, it seems Nvidia store their throttle protection in the users browser. As a software dev this is hilarious.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

I stand corrected but my statement is still applies, all AIB cards will be above 1200. Lets see if AMD can keep their 1st party cards in stock better then NVidia can.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think AMD sells their own reference card so RNDA3 will all be AIB cards. As we've seen from NVIDIA's cards all the AIBs cards are hundreds over the MSRP so 1200 sounds about right for the minimum. Its sad but I don't think we will see massive price drops that...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

I had no intention of buying one but I tried to see if I could get the buy now button on the 4080 FE multiple times around 2pm and never saw it. There's no way they had more then 10 for sale.

Who are the "go to" company for WC gear now?

I've gone Barrow for my first hard tube loop, I hear good things. Waiting for the EK quantum velocity AM5 stand offs before I start it though, so can't yet speak about quality just yet.

Good to know thanks, Zotac was the top of my list, especially with that 5 year warranty. EK seem to be dragging their feet with new products, my new 7900X is waiting in its new case for the new Velocity waterblock AM5 mounting standoffs due out 3rd Nov :(

Curious, those who are going to convert their card to watercooling what brand are you going with? Waiting for the 4080s myself.

INTEL RAPTOR LAKE NOW AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER !

My guess is that they were trying to hide it, the new chip barely beats it.

Went with the Asus ROG Hero in the end, couldn't justify the extra £200, I'll save that for the graphics card. Now I need to go lie down.....

7900x and Vengeance 32GB for me, currently hovering over the buy button, the problem is the motherboard. Really wanted the MSI MEG Ace, but its come in at the predicted eye watering £850..... Anyone else considering it? Really want the built-in 10gb NIC and 4 m.2 slots (without the next for...

What about motherboards, do you have the full complement in ready to go? It's the prices of these I'm afraid of :(
