are you planning in staying with AMD or going intel?. The Q6600 is a great quad core on a budget and the 9800GTX or 4850 look nice for the price aswell! It depends if you want to stay AMD or go intel. Personally i would go intel and opt for the Q6600 in your situation!

My sennheiser PC165's came with 3.5 jacks and with a USB adaptor. Sennheiser are usually regarded as the best make for headsets. The razer headset likes nice aswell though
