Pens are like torches and it can be quite addictive collecting them.

    EDC Pen Thread

Pens might be a bit too niche here but I thought I would start a thread. I recently was looking to buy a nice pen and came across a few posts about EDC Pens. What particularly caught my eye was the Tactile Turn Titanium Bolt Action pen. Beautifully crafted with a life time warranty made in the...

    What watch do you wear?

They are not just an extension of your phone given all the health monitoring. The Ultra with its titanium case looks amazing. Ultimately it’s the watch I wear in preference to my Tag or Omega. Each to their own ….

    What watch do you wear?

Apple Ultra. Love the chunky look, functionality and battery life. I have a Tag, Omega, Citizen, Seiko but struggle to live without the integration of my phone. Sad but true

Well I fell down the custom keyboard world.

Ended up buying a GMMK Pro pre built keyboard and now I know what all the fuss is about. Quality bit of kit and the fox switches are really nice

    Wooting 80HE

Thanks for the info mate. Looks like the 80 might be a worth while purchase. I ended up buying a GMMK Pro pre built for a steal of a price and couldn’t be happier. I will still have a look at the 80 once they decide what they are doing with it.

    AMD Zen 5 rumours

Looking forward to the new chips. If the replacement 7950X3D is any good I might just have to bite. I’ve been impressed by my last two chips.

5900X vs. 7000 series worth it?

Big improvement for me going from a 5900X to 7950X3D in both productivity and in the games I play. If you can sell your stuff on and get a reasonable price it’s worth doing.

    COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Ditto for me last week. 3rd time and the worst with more of a flu feeling. Previously it felt like slight cold. Took about 3 days to get over the worst. It’s certainly doing the rounds in Chesterfield.

    Are refurb chairs risky?

I bought a HM Mirra 2 fully loaded, LOL from the bay and it’s been fantastic. Pretty much new for half the price.

7950X3D for gaming - what is your experience?

The 7950X3D is great for gaming and productivity. Productivity wise I use mine for software development using Visual Studio. It was a noticeable upgrade from my 5900X which was surprising. Once setup it just works. Highly recommended.

Worst ask: Good gaming and good productivity

For the difference in money I would get the 7950X3D.

Worst ask: Good gaming and good productivity

Sorry for the delay. Initially I had issues with the drivers but managed to resolve by a forced uninstall. I didn’t want to reinstall my system. Once that issues was sorted it works flawlessly. I have since upgraded to Windows 11 without a reinstall and again it’s working perfectly. I can only...

    Wooting 80HE

The Q1 Pro is on my list with banana switches. Having the Bluetooth means it would be great with my Steam Deck when I need a keyboard.

    Wooting 80HE

Thanks for the info. I was hoping they would be a good general purpose switch by adjusting the actuation point with the software. I’m using a Logitech Orion G910 which is a bit meh. Previous to that a Corsair K series with red switches and before that a keyboard that had brown switches. I think...

    ASUS ROG Azoth, Advice?

Hi there, Still looking but this keyboard is still on my list. Wooting 80HE is on the list now, so waiting to get some more info. It’s a shame Asus don’t back up great hardware with great software.

Worst ask: Good gaming and good productivity

I upgraded from a 5900X to 7950X3D with similar requirement. Primary use is Visual Studio. Noticeable upgrade in both productivity and gaming. Energy efficiency is spot on. Couldn’t be happier.
