I'm getting one as a present and it has apparently it's being shipped, which is very exciting, but due to a credit card mixup, apparently there are in fact two en route (both charged to the card). It's fairly easy to replace the battery on the Nexus 5, and it should sort out your woes while you wait for the replacement. I was very happy with the recovery in battery life when I swapped out the battery.
