Hey guys, done some research but didn't find any relative information on what I want to do.
I own an LG IPS 231 which has both VGA and DVI inputs.
At the moment I'm using an ATI 5850 with windows 7 and it's still great in games, but it sucks so much in my linux distros, cause of drivers or...
Nine months?!
That sounds good.. I don't plan on buying a new laptop any time soon because I use this just for watching movies, listening to music and browsing.
It's very fast still, [email protected] and a Vertex 3 on linux mint 11! :)
I hadn't done any research on the subject until I powered on my acer 5920g a few days ago and got this wonderful screen as in the picture below, while the laptop booted properly in windows 7.
After some digging I found out several articles indicating that some nvidia G84 and G86s are bad...
So, I don't know if you guys remember the problem concerning the WiFi module when iOS 4.2 came out.
People started having problems using WiFi on their Iphones after updating their iOS to 4.2.
After a while all sort of "How to fix Iphone WiFi blahblah" guides came out, each one with a different...
The laptop runs on a nvidia 8600m GS running at 675/525/1350. It performs nearly like the 8600m GT does.
Graphics are decent considering that it's a 4 years old laptop and the games I play, but I think it's the CPU that it's holding performance back.
And it runs on Windows 7 Home Premium...
Hello forum, I have this laptop for nearly 4 years now, and I'd like to make it a bit faster if possible, to keep it for a couple of years or more, without spending a lot on a new laptop.
Specs:
Mobo/Chipset: PM965
CPU: T5550
RAM: 3GB 667MHz DDR2
I've done some initial research and...
Maybe you're adjusting the settings on the wrong profile in power management? Windows 7 comes with 3 profiles if I'm not mistaken.
Power Saver
Balanced
High Performance
So Choose one, adjust the settings and see how it goes.. Make sure your screen saver is disabled as well! :)
Well in the end it's if totally crap I'll save for some good components later, but the thing is that I have nothing to lose doing this, plus I have some free time and I love messing with sound anyway!
Don't be mean now! I said I'll be getting an amplifier later on, I just can't don't have that kind of budget for the following couple of months.. :)
Also, it's not not going to be any different than it would be if I was putting for example those on (well without the twitters):
KENWOOD...
(Un)fortunately these are not the sub type of woofers. The cone is not built to move deep and high enough to produce that kind of bass.
Typical woofer: Click
Sub woofer: Click
See what I mean? :(
Well I'll be using the hinges of the current parcel shelf on the new one to keep it functional and I was thinking to put some "anti-rattling" tape of some kind (will look into that at some point) on the edges.. At least that's what I had in mind.. :o
The story here is that I have those 2 babies and they're not being used for like 3 years now:
They are 250 watts, 12", 8 ohm, 50 OZ. They are quite heavy, almost 10 pounds each and I think too heavy for this parcel shelf.
Obviously they won't fit because it actually is quite small and...
